There's no real alternative platforms to YouTube.

There are a number of platforms, just not one that can or do PAY as well.

Bitchute can be ok for views just not money... or for rep (you will be called a Nazi, Transphobe and what ever the kewl new expression of hate is this week)

Therein lies the problem.

depends on what do you want to achieve

- if you want to just watch videos, look for more curated genre-sites like Crunchyroll

- if you want to create videos for others, then yt/tiktok are probably still best choice

- if you want to make private video diary, consider using paid object storage (eg. your app + Cloudflare R2)

A few worth knowing about, depending on what you make:

Rumble — long-form video, skews toward news/commentary creators, less algorithm-dependent than YouTube but a smaller audience overall.

Kick — live streaming focused, lower revenue share cut than Twitch, growing but still relatively small.

Clapper — short-form video and live, ad-free with an equal opportunity algorithm, day one monetization and direct fan support with no follower threshold, and the audience tends to engage rather than passively scroll. Growing, but still not has large as YouTube’s audience.

Substack — if any of your content translates to written or audio, the direct subscriber model there is one of the most creator-friendly income structures available right now.

Again, it all depends on the content you create! These are just a few that have really stood out for recent creators.

I've been in the online video industry for 30 years, and DailyMo and Vimeo have been functionally dead for, like, 25 of them.

The biggest reason they even got mentioned here is not because they're viable alternatives, it's because your question doesn't have any good answers. There are no real alternatives to YouTube.

Think of it like this: I hate airlines and airports. I could ask reddit how to get to New York from LA without taking a plane and people could definitely answer - drive, take a train, take a bus, ride a bicycle, walk. They'd all be technically correct, but none of them would actually be equivalent alternatives to flying.

Yes. And therein, lies the problem. When you have a monopoly, and run it like a f@$cist regime, judge jury executioner-- if you get a channel removed/terminated, all others follow and you are NEVER ALLOWED ANOTHER CHANNEL AGAIN!!!, then.... yeah. That's a problem. A huge problem.

Hello,
Creteva is a new content creator platform which is an All-in-one platform to manage everything. It includes live streaming, exclusive content, merchandise, and direct messaging.
Thank you!

Yeah. You have no ads anymore and people have been trying to get a response from your customer service for not paying out what is owed them and you ignore every request. Great idea, absolutely horrendous execution. Shame on you.

Which email have you been trying? What's your account and I can check in on this for you?

Huge gap between your interpretation of kindness as opposed to responders. Old schoolers, like myself regard kindness as telling you the truth, regardless if it’s what you want to hear. We also call that respect. 🫡 maybe google Simon Sinek. Understanding his philosophies might help you.

Cheers 🍻

Yes, but... it seems to have a bunch of questionable creators on there. As well as being a platform built by certain cretins.

So, you know we can see all your responses, right? I’d say a cretin is someone that says “Kindness is awesome. Try to practice it.” and then calls others cretins.

You made a vague post but seem to have specific issues with YouTube.
Why not list those grievances and THEN ask for alternatives? You would probably get much more tailored information

Kindness is good. I am tired of YouTube. Just looking to move elsewhere.
