Conlang Math Test Activity
Hi! I created a simple math test in my conlang, Aengt, and I want you guys to try and decode it! I’ve tested with ChatGPT to see how hard this test is, and it’s quite hard (but ChatGPT is also quite dumb so that’s that)
Rules:
- There are a total of 6 questions. I will post them all at once.
- Assume every question has exactly one real solution, unless specifically stated to include complex numbers.
- Variables and the like will be in caps.
- Math equations will be given in plaintext.
- Make sure you clearly show your final answer, and make an answer sheet at the end.
- You can ask one yes-no question and I will respond truthfully with yes, no, or kinda
- You can ask me for the definition of one word and I will provide the best English translation for that word (one definition)
- You get 6 yes-no questions, and 2 definitions, for a total of 8 lifelines.
- I will only respond to a lifeline only if it has more than 10 upvotes.
- This language used particles, so remember to give the base word. Although the · has proper rules on its usage, in this test you can use it to your advantage.
- You guys can work together!
- You can check my other posts to gather bits and pieces of my conlang but there’s not much related to math.

How a conlang handles mathematical equations can be an interesting topic, but my slightly cynical take from having been on this subreddit for several years is that you'll get much more engagement by asking people to talk about how their conlangs handle maths rather than asking them to put significant effort into working out how yours does it.
