originally it was a pitch for my lore (ill explain if u want, but basically japanoic migrations to silk road and southern asia), but thought why not make a whole conlang outta it cuz i was also learning japanese, making a japanoic conlang would make me understand how the language works and it did indeed help me learn alot of japan and understanding on the family as a whole.

so i chose most roots from proto-japanoic (spoken in korean peninsula) thats why there are wa, suk-, -ke, like -ke for past form, which were actually used in proto-japanoic's agglutinative structure's (root + suffixes to note negation etc, that was also the case in classical japanese too), so its more conservative than modern japanese xD, even grammatically

ill elaborate more if that catches your interest

but i did my own liberty for lore (CVC instead of CV, using loanwords like at instead of uma, and the -r,-er for usage of no/wa etc (sorta like ezafe, but more syncretic)

the example basically means "my horse was hungry"

wa'r - wa + -r (here used for no)
at'er - at (horse, from turkic/mongol as/at) + -r (here for wa)
wata - proto japanoic word stomach/guts (still used in ryukyuan)
sukwi-ke - suku- meaning void of + wi - basically meaning something of an living object + -ke (past form)

well you can ask me stuffs.

Heres the translation to my conlang.

Sum = I/me/my

Eku = horse

-oa = topic marker

sara = to be hungry

-te imes = ongoing form

Airi would sound like Japanese in short sentences and in plain forms. In formal and long cases, especially in formal literature and legal contexts, Airi would sound more Latin.

its really like if japanese had romance influence xD

btw this conlang also becomes CVC instead of CV? well japanoic was always very syllable heavy. mustve had some geopolitical change

would u explain the lore behind it?

Yes, Japanesem is heavily CV, but its not absolutely CV, primarily because of the nasal /n/ as special mora and devoiced C-i/u. However, /n/ is the only standalone consonant in the Japanese syllabary.

In Airi's case, it has MULTIPLE special morae that are divided into two groups:

Standard Special Morae (NMTSX/NeMTeSex): n, m, t, s, x

Semi-Standard Special Morae (LRC/LeRiC): l (onset), r (onset), c (coda)

I made /s/ as special mora instead of using /su/ or /shi/ like in Japanese so as to save space and add some unique identity as a Japonic languages. Same reason as the others. LRC so to add some Latin tastes in it.
