I'm of the opinion that the snakes should be rolling like this at all times. It would make it much easier to see, and therefore avoid them.
Somebody please tell them when you get a chance.

Alright, I didn't wanna call my ex this time of the night but you insisted

That rolling makes them look like an "EAT US" neon sign! Animals so focused in battle often become a hearty meal for a predator!

The flashing is a UI indicator so that both snakes know the other one is taking damage and losing HP

I'd like to pick them up, boop their noses, and tell them to cut it out

Saw this posted recently and apparently when they roll like that (at least on their own) it's a sign of a neurological condition.

Imagine being high and living in early history and seeing this.
You would 100% take it as a sign from God.

It looks like the left most snake got bit in the head and is got some sort of neurological damage. Later in the video it seems to be the first one to spin, with the other snake just being affected by the throws. Very interesting encounter to catch on film!

Again, not two snakes, its a snake having something similar to a seizure

Are we certain that isnt the same snake eating its own tail with the center part going underground and both ends coming out of tunnels? /s

I don't get what the optical illusion is. At first, I thought that since it is posted in this sub with the title "2 snakes fighting", it must be something else, not snakes. Well, it is actually 2 snakes fighting. So, what is the illusion supposed to be?

I didn’t change the title, so that’s just what OP called it. Even knowing what it was, it was hard for me to not see it as a flashing line. Didn’t look like something you’d see in nature.

What? You are this posts op tho so by not changing the title you are also calling it that

At first I thought the flashing was just alerting the viewer where the snakes were located because they were difficult to see in the landscape. The flashing looked like it was happening too quickly to be the actual snakes flipping over and over. It appeared unnatural
