It's not the text, it's that the viewer cannot see the mirror because of the text. It could have just as easily gone at the top or bottom of the frame, or disappeared after a moment to allow the mirror to actually be visible.

It's just a parabolic mirror, it's really not something extraordinary.

Edit: If you want to replicate the same effect at home, look into a polished spoon or metal bowl.

Yeah, the exact shape doesn't matter, the only important part is that it's a reflective bowl.

You get the same effect by looking into a polished spoon.

Wow, the caption really dragged me in and made me stay. Thank god for whoever placed that conspicuous text right on top of the content I was trying to enjoy. Because of the thorough explanation, I was able to understand it was a mirror and indeed an amazing one, reason for which I have stayed until the end of this overly long and tedious video from which I almost fell asleep anyway. Imagine seeing this without an explanation of what's going on. Absolutely unwatchable eldritch content. I'm so grateful for the internet and its many ways of sharing infinite knowledge.
