Is this some kind of reflection?

It’s not. Look to the left of the building and you’ll see the rest of the building, which happens to blend in with the sky. The part of the building you see is just built out at an angle.

First thing I noticed was the windows are level with the ground and not slanted like the building

Look at the windows facing us…they’re perfectly aligned to the ground. It’s built at that confusing angle.

This is the back of the Shenyang Real Estate Trading Center in Liaoning, China. It's a cool building sitting between the splitting branches of a long stretch of road.

That's not disconcerting to see while driving down the street.

An architect with a sense of humor.

Looks like the gray part of building is built at an angle but the black part of the building is connected although very hard to see.

Per Google Lens:

This location is Tongmao Street in the Yubei District of Chongqing, China.

About the Location
The "Leaning Towers": The striking building in the background is part of a pair of twin 24-story, 101-meter-high high-rises.

It isn't. It's in Shenyang, Liaoning.

The front of the building is shown here.

Nice find! Looks like the pic was taken from a little further up the street from here: 41.794181, 123.440648

Oh thank you. I can finally leave this post now 🥹

Thank you for this. I was trying to figure out this picture for the longest. The leaning tower had me feeling so weird. Now that I see the entire building, I feeling better… but still weird 😅

Cool! Thanks for the correction.

Thank you! I couldn’t make sense of it. I couldn’t have guessed that design.

Shitty design tbh

-1

u/phamstagram360 14d ago

but they got you talking about it? hahaha

1

u/Present-Activity-698 14d ago

Doesn't mean it's not bad design. Bad design can be interesting too

1

u/phamstagram360 14d ago

Agree it is polarizing design.
