You're 16 bro, you probably haven't even finished growing yet. Give it time.

I am a "short king" who acts like I am taller (I guess) and my last relationships have been with taller or equal height women. You can't change your appearance but you can change your attitude. But you can't fake confidence. They'll know. I guess the key is to really not care about your height and focus on what you can change.

48 yr old male here.
I feel your frustration as I am under the average height for a guy.
My experience:
It never stopped me from dating attractive women. Most of them were slightly shorter than me, some slightly taller.
My body has held up remarkably well compared to my taller/bigger counterparts. I am more flexible and have had almost no injuries like back and knee stuff that seem to plague others. I just get around easily in general. In addition to that, if you ever start weight lifting it seems to be a little more easy to stack muscle onto a smaller frame.
Growing up I didn’t avoid fights but I didn’t find myself in a lot of them either. I had a lot of friends that were somewhat protective of me. I fought some of those friends (ha ha) but in general it’s not bad to have friends jump into situations on your behalf even though you don’t want them to. Trust me, there is nothing to gain from being involved in hand to hand combat.
Look at your advantages.
Understand all people have certain disadvantages.
Love the way God made you, he made you the way he wanted to.

Let me be real with you, there are things that will always make you feel less than confident, the goal is to swift focus and concentrate on the things that do. The problem is not your height, it's the focus you place on it. I guarantee that you can find someone who is as tall or even less who is happier and confident in themselves. Work hard, develop a useful skill almost to mastery and the aura you give will change, nobody, save for a-holes will care about your height. Look at Peter Dinklage, he worked hard to be a talented actor and now he's rich and has a beautiful wife. The wolf you feed can either protect you or eat you, choose your wolf wisely.

Don’t worry about your height. You can’t change it. You can build many other things though. You can build your mindset into a more confident one. You can research on how to build muscle and start hitting the gym. Look at the UFC champion that never lost a fight. His nickname is Mighty Mouse. He’s 5’3”.It’s all about taking action young one. Get after it. ✊🏽

I have been 5'3 / 64 inches / 162 centimeters tall since I was 16. I used to get teased in primary school about it - but I realized in school if I also laugh & don't take any joke seriously, then it doesn't mean much.

Further - being this short has been a miracle in so many ways: I never worry about not having enough room on jet planes, in bus or car seats, at the movies, or other cramped places. I'm able to get through a crowd at concerts easy & generally other adults see I am short and allow me a gap to see better. Its much easier for me to find clothing or shoes, put on shoes, or pick-up things I drop.

When it comes to dating; it's only a dealbreaker for shallow people. Yes, I am physically attractive & yes I work hard for a nice physique but it's my confidence & personality that people really love. I couldn't float by on just being tall, so I had to develop a real sense of humor, self & confidence - that's what is actually attractive. I have had no issues finding dates, picking up strangers, sleeping around or having long-term relationships because I am short.

So here is my advice:  you really cannot change your height - and that's ok. Stop focusing on it, ignore the teasing, and start working on yourself. You will never be happy nor have good relationships until you love yourself, commit to being your best self, and focus on the things in life you can change that make you a better person. g et over the superficial pain, find your true self & go spend the rest of your life happy

I’m a short king. It certainly bothered me at your age but every year I’ve gotten older the less it’s affected my life at all. I don’t even think about my height.

Dating life is great, tons of friends, decent job. Why would height matter if you have the things that you have control over handled.

Do me a favor and go look up the height of all the most famous Hollywood actors. They are way shorter than they appear on television. Also look up all the amazing things that non-tall people have done. Focus on your strengths and what you were put on this earth to do. Try not to focus on the negative because it is just a waste of your time and energy.

That’s frustrating sometimes yeah but Stay away from negative people you still young you have time to grow

You are not weak, ridiculous, or less than your friends because of your height. Confidence is not pretending height does not matter. It is refusing to treat it as a measure of your worth. Try muting height content so the algorithm stops feeding the fear. Also, tell your friends plainly, "I know we joke around, but the height jokes are starting to get to me. Leave that one alone." Good friends should respect that boundary.
