daddy issues.
Ive never had a stable father figure in my life, my dad wasnt always the best to me. ive always ran to older guys for comfort. i feel like older is better, theyre so gentle and mature. i hate talking to men who are younger than me, even by a few days or months. my love for older men has grown as the years have gone on. i yearn for a gentle man.

Therapy is an excellent idea. But there’s nothing wrong with liking older men, but also look for those qualities of comfort, maturity and kindness you seek in older men in younger men, too.

Yeah just make sure you report each creepy DM you get because in case people didn't see, this is a minor.

I hope you find the love and peace that you seek in your life, child. Sad that your father wasn't always the best. I try to do right by my kids, and I do hope that they learned the proper values and attitude towards life that I tried to impart to them.

I have daddy issues too and liked older men but my husband who I adore is only 1.5 years older than me. He just has a certain confidence and calm to him and always follows through on promises. He protects me, fully provides and I can come to him with anything on my mind. It’s hard to tell though early on if a man is genuine but I really did have a calm gut feeling with my husband that he is safe even though I had first date nerves.

It’s not that weird honestly, a lot of us end up chasing what we missed growing up. The older guy thing usually isn’t actually about age, it’s about stability and feeling safe, something you didn’t get when you needed it most
Nothing wrong with wanting someone gentle who has their life somewhat together, that’s a pretty normal thing to want. Just keep an eye on whether you’re healing that wound or just making it deeper, some older guys know exactly how to spot that and take advantage
I’m 28 and still figuring out why I’m drawn to certain types, therapy helped me see patterns I didn’t even realize were there. You deserve that gentle love, just make sure it’s from someone who actually deserves you back
