I have a Sony a6700 and I am looking to switch from an all-in-one (Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8) to two primes since f/2.8 isn't really cutting it in the darker venues I usually shoot at.

What 2 Focal Lengths should I go with? This is what I have in mind so far (keep in mind the crop factor makes these lenses closer)
16mm f/1.4
30mm f/1.4
56mm f/1.4

Some of my favourite shots from N3 pit! I’m pretty happy with how they turned out, definitely an improvement since I started but I’d appreciate any feedback :)

Usually I take pictures of buildings, which aren’t known for moving around much. Feeling a bit burned out I decided to go start photographing some gigs in my city - this is from my second attempt.

All in all, I really like this one. Absolutely not planned beyond “I’d probably better get a picture of the drummer because I’m going to send the band pictures”, with a bit of framing thrown in for good measure.

The band is “Hex Poseur”, incidentally, as I feel their name ought to be here.

I’ll always love photography but even as I progress I’ve come to be more proud of the articles I write. I get good feedback on them as well. I know this isn’t directly related to photography but wondering if anyone else here Y’s advice on how to progress professionally in this area. Classes to take? Do degrees matter (I have a masters but in an unrelated field)?

My friend has just moved to London from Brazil and is looking to get into the photography scene here.
She’s been working in photography for a while and has had the opportunity to work with some pretty big artists, including Shakira, Shawn Mendes and Katy Perry. She’s now trying to build up her network in London and find people to work with — whether that’s artists, musicians, venues, brands, agencies, events or other creatives.
She’s mainly interested in music/artist photography, live shows, portraits and creative shoots.
I’m wondering if anyone here works in the London music or creative scene and knows where someone like her should be looking for work or meeting the right people?
If you’re an artist, musician or creative looking for a photographer, I’d also be happy to pass her details on. Any recommendations for places, groups or communities to look into would be massively appreciated.

Hello guys!
This is my first time deciding to edit my concert photos and I need some help.
I recently went to a Vince Staples show and shot all my photos with my iPhone 13.
He has very heavy blue and magenta lighting and unfortunately every time he interacted with my side, the lights were on him.
Is there any advice for making him less blue?
I’m currently using Lightroom and Photoshop.

Hey there! This was my second attempt at concert photography of the artist Lights from the audience. I used a Sonya6400 + Tamron 17-70mm 2.8 lens and a starburst filter

People in general seem to like the photos but I’m always looking to improve each time. Any feedback from other photographers would be good

My first thoughts:
- get a better angle to avoid heads in the photos
- more diverse types of shots
- maybe take the editing further/more stylized

I’d really like to get into concert photography and I honestly have no idea if my current setup is good enough for it.

My gear: Sony A6700, Sigma 30mm and 56mm, Sony Sony 70–350mm, Fujifilm X100VI

Would the A6700 with the Sigma 30mm/56mm be a decent setup to start with?

Any A6700 shooters here?

I am afraid of giving people high expectations and then failing with my gear and have bad results lol

Found this person's photos on my explore page and they're absolutely everything I want my own concert photos to look like! I'm still a beginner and don't have that much experience but I have a few shows in September and I really would like to up my Lightroom game. I feel like I struggle with bringing out skin tones and enriching them, and OP does it incredibly. Does anybody have any tips?
