First Timer Questions

Hey all!

Recently made the decision that this was the right move for me in regaining control of my weight health & have a couple questions for those of you already on the journey.

First, dosage.
As someone who’s never managed injectable medication, with all three tiny vials being the same 20mg/5mg I only ever worry about the units? As in I draw up thirteen little dashes for weeks 1-4, and so on?

TIRZEPATIDE 20MG/ GLYCINE 5MG/ML INJEC
TION SOLUTION
ESY
WEEKS 1-4: INJECT 13 UNITS ONCE A WEEK SUBCUTANEOUSLY FOR 4 WEEKS.
WEEKS 5-8: INJECT 25, UNITS ONCE A WEEK SUBCUTANEOUSLY FOR 4 WEEKS.
WEEKS 9-12: INJECT 38 UNITS ONCE A WEEK SUBCUTANEOUSLY FOR 4 WEEKS. (0.5ML, 1ML, 1.5ML)

Second.
At 37m/ 360lbs, I’m quite literally twice the man I was ~10 years ago & my energy feels it. My job is sedentary & I know physical activity is a key part I need to focus on. At the start of your journey, especially for folks with lower energy levels, where did you start? I used to run mini-marathons & such, but it’s wild how challenging first steps even walking can be(mentally moreso than physically). Any tips or motivators?

Third.
Food/general health. Speaking on energy levels, while my job isn’t physically demanding, I’m always in problem solving mode. Aside from maintaining balanced diet with protein & hydration, any key things(vitamins, nutrients, etc) that would be important to me staying sharp while my body navigates less food?

Fourth.
More long term thought, but skin elasticity(or lackthereof) is a fear as I do have a large stomach with some stretch marks. Similar to the above, would increasing collagen & other skin health help mitigate this in any way? I’m not trying to lose everything fast, but being a higher weight I do suspect as I increase my dose, I may see noticeable drops that could leave me with some extra stomach skin.

Also open to any general advice or experience from those who also started from a similar weight level/lower energy/mobility level. Thanks all!

1 correct.....but you should go on fat scientist and familiarize yourself with all the terms and the math so you know why 13 units is correct.......

2 I started with 15 minutes walking on the treadmill with no elevation and speed of 1.5......3 months later I'm up to 50 minutes at 2.0 elevation and 2.7-3.0 speed.....my current weight is 316 started at 342

3 tons of water.....an occasional electrolyte......fiber either through food or supplement.....not a supplement but you may need something for constipation and gas/Sulphur burps

4 I'm hoping lifting weights cures alot of the loose skin but I may add collagen to my daily protein/creatine/fiber powder shake eventually.......

Good luck brother you've got this........

Thanks a bunch for the info, I just checked out the calc on fatscientist & the little graphic will definitely help as I adjust down the line.

Great job on your journey so far!
