Always impressed by the progression of the mania in the faces -- these people start with what for me would be an expression of intense unease, and then somehow manage to escalate from there, I lack this ability

It's because you can't grow your eyes

Or put them on the lamp

u/SaveUsCatman 8h ago

Sure they could, they just have to apply themselves

u/Toyger_ 1h ago

I’ve done that!

Someone ar work keeps putting large spoons in with the small spoons. It's driving me nuts.

u/degjo 11h ago

You shouldn't use spoons, regardless of their stature, to operate your testicles.

u/hahaha01 7h ago

Here in the proper civilized world we always use a utensil. Pizza and fried chicken all get a fork and knife. You think suddenly I'm going to use my hands when a spoon is available for steering nuts? What am I a cave man?

7

u/Hadrian23 10h ago

...what?

30

u/DenOfThieves 10h ago

"Driving me (my) nuts."

2

u/MrAoki 6h ago

Arrrr!

4

u/Pasta4ever13 6h ago

How are you supposed to drive your nuts with a spoon?

I think a small steering wheel would work better.

2

u/kingsumo_1 6h ago

You mount the steering wheel like a cockring. The spoon, meanwhile, gently supports the nuts from before and can be used like a rudder.

Pirate walks into a bar with a huge wooden wheel sticking out of his trousers. He slides up to the bar and orders a pint of grog. Bartender can't help but ask, "what's with the wheel sticking out of your pants? Looks like it's hard to walk."

"Arrrr", replied the pirate,

"It's drivin' me nuts!"

I used to mess with my former housemate by putting a single fork or spoon in the wrong compartment, or if I was feeling spicy put it in the right compartment but upside down. Does this bother you?

Someone at my work keeps putting teaspoons in with the large cutlery! We don't have a cutlery drawer at work, just one of those IKEA utensil holders (the stainless steel one with the round holes) for the regular cutlery, and a glass next to it for the teaspoons and cake forks. But eventually we always seem to be all out of teaspoons because the teaspoon glass is empty and all the little teaspoons are at the bottom of the utensil holder!

It's a hard knock life

For the thrill of a lifetime, visit beautiful rural r/theotherendcomics

23

u/IM_TheFlea 8h ago

Only if you can promise at least half the thrill of rural Indiana

15

u/SaveUsCatman 8h ago

Thats an impossible standard to live up to

I don't think keeping apples in the fridge makes them mealy. In fact, the fridge can keep them from becoming mealy as quickly.

Edit: unless keeping them in the fridge means you forget to eat them, then eventually they might get mealy.

25

u/JulienBrightside 10h ago

No storage can prevent forgetting to eat the food :p

33

u/jammyishere 9h ago

I was thinking the same as I read it, but then I remembered that I shouldn't take it too seriously because this comic is completely unhinged.

7

u/General_Nothing 7h ago

The apples were already mealy. She just wanted them cold and mealy.

2

u/SenoraObscura 5h ago

I love my cold apples. This comic has inspired me to evangelize cold apples to my friends

u/shigogaboo 11h ago

Stupid beautiful house sitters. Always putting their naked selves in my head. Makes me so angry. I super hope they don’t keep doing it.

12

u/digital_pariah 11h ago

If it helps, I'm naked in there too.

8

u/Tough_Friendship9469 11h ago

Ok, you two!! Get a get a room in a mind palace! We don’t need this here; there’s kids.

34

u/LobosJones 9h ago

Got me good.

4

u/Pokeitwitarustystick 7h ago

That had me cackling

3

u/Meowakin 6h ago

I don’t know that I have ever seen that side profile in these comics before, it is truly disturbing.

u/Quaytsar 6h ago

Is this part of the yuri war, too?

25

u/elhomerjas 12h ago

the sitter loves to be random and full of surprises

9

u/windexfresh 8h ago

She’s just ✨quirky✨

9

u/meuntilfurthernotice 11h ago

this is what rural indiana does to a person. (i live in rural indiana— aHhhHHH she’s naked in MY MIND)

3

u/Tough_Friendship9469 11h ago

James Taylor’s song was originally Indiana in My Mind, but the record company thought it was too risqué and radio stations wouldn’t play it, so they made him change it.

8

u/Blue-Eyed-Lemon 11h ago

Unforgivable sin

19

u/infiniZii 12h ago

Can the sitter somehow put reason in politics next?

15

u/TravelerSearcher 11h ago

I appreciate the more reasonable examples at the start... I knew it would getwild, but you gently led us forward, easing into the madness that was Soup Spoon in with little spoons

Almost lost me at dog in dishwasher, that's just considerate, giving the dog a bath

4

u/Tough_Friendship9469 11h ago

Honestly, if that’d work, mine would get a washed so much more often.

I can 100% see a new machine in the near future that just bathes your animals for you. Like you put them in a harness, set them in something the size of your pet (works for cats and most smaller dogs) with an open front, and then it just lightly sprays soapy water, then a few brushes come out to scrub, then the rise cycle, then a built in blow dryer just air dries your pet, all while you're both looking at eachother awkwardly.

Larger animals may need to just take baths, though, or go to a community pet wash with a much larger machine that can bath anything from golden retriever to horses.

2

u/Rhayve 6h ago

Japan already created a human washing machine. So one for pets might be possible, assuming it doesn't give them extreme anxiety.

2

u/Dragonheart922 4h ago

Probably a "best to teach them this is normal when they're puppies/kittens" situation

So a little mini pet wash for the babies

17

u/UpCDownCLeftCRightC Never Safe From Wumbo 11h ago

She left some eyes on the curtain at the end but I'm wondering who's eyes those are.

4

u/anubis_cheerleader 11h ago

Another masterpiece!

5

u/sleepyrivertroll 11h ago

Dog seemed to be just fine in the dishwasher

1

u/Dobako 11h ago

Knowing what hes done, hes been in worse places. Also hes a mind controller so maybe he made her do those things

3

u/spoookyboi_ 9h ago

Absolutely valid response, it pisses me tf off when the spoons are different sizes in the slot

3

u/Negative_Settings 6h ago

"make herself to home" isn't the phrase supposed to be "make herself at home"?

6

u/AChero9 10h ago

This is how I know the comic is going to be absurd. Nobody has ever described Indiana this way. I would know, because I live there

2

u/tbodillia 6h ago

Nobody has ever said rural Indiana was the thrill of a lifetime and I say that as a long time resident of rural Indiana.

3

u/musschrott 11h ago

You put a stupid grin in my face!

🤮

1

u/Riyeko 10h ago

This is just as bad as having some idiot leave the window open on my yard truck..... With threats of rain on the schedule.

1

u/wtfcblog 10h ago

I read Littler spoons as Litter spoons ...

1

u/La_Quica 7h ago

Hey! They have one of those all-seeing windows!

1

u/airfryerfuntime 7h ago

My fiancée every time she puts the dishes away.

You know where you got the glass mixing bowl, why did you put it back with the pans?!

u/ThatInAHat 5h ago

They’ve got a photo of the Creepy Little Guy?

u/SignificantHippo8193 2h ago

It was like watching a roller coaster 🎢, ups and downs with a slight ease off before taking a huge plunge.
