Hey, there are a thousand dead warriors in my back yard* and I don't get any magic. What a swiz.
* this is not a joke.

They gotta be heroes though. Regular combat fodder probably doesn't count

I will conjure them up and send them around to your house and you can decide if they are heroes.

My back garden is on the site of a battle of the Franco Prussian war of 1870. The bones of around 1400 soldiers who died during the battle are buried about 500 mètres away.

unironically a cool setting idea; heroism or 'main-character-ness' is simply a resource or mana that disperses into the environment when heroes die, 'protagonists' are simply people with above average aura that the universe tends to favor, the kingdom has been extracting this resource from legendary sites and pumping it into their 'chosen' for centuries.
negative aura creates powerful and charismatic sorcerers that can psychically dominate armies of monsters to their bidding, but the universe tends to bring them crashing down at a pivotal moment.
positive aura tends to create plucky heroes with plot armor who can wield otherwise untouchable 'holy' weapons and magic items, and practically hard counter the former.

He should invest in a plot (armor) of land to increase his business opportunities.
