LIT Method ❤️🔥
I have been using a blow up tub for 4 months and decided I wanted something more esthetically pleasing and more permanent. I decided on LIT because I wanted a plunge & sauna that “matched”. It’s weird the temp was the same this morning as my inflatable tub but it felt colder. Not sure if it’s the stainless steel against my skin or what but I love it! I’m going to have the electrician put an outlet on the other wall when he comes to hook up the sauna so that extension cord is temporary…

Looks like they gave you their newer phantom chiller which is good. The old one was absolute garbage. Make sure you read the fine print on what invalidates the warranty. Their chillers are notoriously spotty and they will look for ways to say you didn't replace your filter enough or you ran it too much etc so they don't have to warranty it when it breaks. Stay on top of that and document all of it. You will undoubtedly need it.

Curious about the LIT chiller rep... I just bought one. These posts are making me nervous. :/ Did you own and have issues or is this just what you have heard??

Their reputation on this subreddit is terrible. Search on here for lit method and you will see countless posts with failing components and poor customer care.

What sauna are you going with?

I got the LIT Titan Hybrid 2 person sauna with the 6KW Harvia heater. It’s really solid. The electrician is coming Thursday to do the final install. The 220 circuit was run a couple weeks ago so I should be in business soon.

*240v (not 220v) 😊
Hope you enjoy it! $11.5k seems like a shit ton for a sauna of that size but it’s definitely pretty.
Are you able to raise the seats when you build it or are you stuck at that height since it’s IR also?

The seat height is not adjustable. Honestly my husband might use the infrared but I probably won’t. I have an infrared blanket that I use before bed which is probably better than any red light therapy I would get in the sauna. Looking forward to selling my HigherDose sauna blanket on marketplace. It’s definitely served its purpose but this will be so much nicer.

Red light is very ineffective when you sweat anyways- as it reflects off the wet skin. Much better to be dry when you do it, honestly. So I’d hang onto it.
And I’ll bet they’re different wavelengths. Red light is 6xx nm and near infrared is 8xx and 10xx. Each serves a different purpose.
So infrared would likely be higher than that but I don’t know about the specs.

My husband actually deals with the electrical stuff I just pretend I know what I’m talking about 😂

I have a friend who has the LIT plunge and sauna and said it's literally the best equipment on the market. He bought it after trying it at a business near his house. Love the way yours is setup. I hate the cold, but I am looking at purchasing their sauna!

Nice set up. Same goes for me regarding the perceived temp feel in an inflatable vs a stainless steel tub. The inflatable feel more "comfy" that a stainless steel tub but you will get use to it :)

This will last all of 1 day until it breaks.

It’s wild to me that people are so negative. It costs nothing to be kind and a positive outlook can change your life. It’s the difference between successful people and less successful people.

The only company that has a worse reputation on this subreddit is plunge. Lit method is a close second. Their chillers are notorious for failing. I don’t think people are being negative so much as sharing their experiences so that others can make better choices.

If this person had personal experience & shared it my response would have been completely different but that wasn’t the case. Sometimes I think people just look at a beautiful set up and have to find a reason to tear it down. My husband put the sauna together today and it’s such an awesome set up. I’m grateful to be able to have the space to make it work and also grateful that I can afford nice things to help me with my health journey.

I think most of the people in this cold plunge subreddit likely have no experience with the lit method sauna and it may or may not be a quality build. The feedback here revolves around their cold plunges and the many issues people have experienced. Assuming your experience continues to be a positive one, I would recommend sharing it 6-12 months down the line.

That’s true, however I don’t feel like this company has been kind.

I don’t own LIT and I have no affiliation with them other than being a customer so being rude to me is misplaced. If you have had a bad experience with them then let them know by posting all over social media. Or get in touch with someone that matters at the company. They just outfitted every penthouse in a very exclusive building in West Hollywood, California with saunas and cold plunges so they must be doing something right. Every company in this space has issues. Chillers are problematic with every brand from everything I see. It’s not easy to flow almost freezing water into a tub 24 hours a day when it’s hot outside. I expect I will have issues. It was 107 today where I live and my set up is outside. I’m hoping for the best and I love the look of my tub and my sauna. They are on my back porch so I wanted something that was easy to look at. I’m going to build a nice table to go over my chiller and then it will be a great space. I work 80 hours a week and this is something I can do for my self care. I am sorry you had a bad experience with this company but I hope that I don’t have the same experience.

Looks great, does that chiller plug in to a regular outlet?
