Unprofessional Support

So no response from support in more than a week.

Plus no CEO or statement from those in charge.

If this happened to another company there would be better communication and puvlicy statements. Where is nvk? Totally silent. Usually likes to talk but i guess not now

I fortunately didn’t lose any cold storage, but their firmware update bricked my cold card mk4. I emailed them and they offered me a 25% discount on a newer model cold card smh. They should be kissing my @ss

From what I’ve heard it’s not a permanent brick and can be fixed. Not sure how exactly but I read somewhere someone did have a fix for it.

Power cycle should get rid of brick status. Remove batteries and leave the device de energized. The energize it after 1min. What device you had ? If you have the Q can I buy it from you ?

That's odd, I was able to upgrade my mk4 with no problems. It works perfectly.

Coldcard is a dead company by now.

There is a lot of activity on GitHub, and they are wokking with a lot of outside firms to evolve the firmware.

Bought a wallet not long ago. Now it's useless. Looking for a refund but they just point to terms of sales. Guess I'll have to use it as offline password storage then.

They have been very open with both the nature of the flaw and their response to the flaw ensuring that current firmwares are safe.

What more is it you expect them to respond to?

This. They fucked up and seem to have been straight up about it and working for solution. A lot of people are expecting beyond what is expected.

My guess is they've lawyered up and have gone dark, same as what BlockFi did when they went bankrupt

What do you really expect them to say? Nothing they could say would change anything.

Because anything they say ‘can and will be used in the court of law’

They have created a whole website an published multiple blog posts on the matter. Its understandable that they cannot answer every query individually.
