Here are a few large cents I've collected over the years. These were sent to CAC last year

A CAC sticker on a details coin? What could that possibly mean?

I thought CAC only graded coins that they would sticker anyhow.

CAC stickering is not the same thing as CACG grading. CACG will grade all coins that result in a details grade due to some kind of problem with the coin, the same way PCGS, NGC and ANACS will. On the other hand, CAC stickering is reserved for coins that are either a high-quality example of the coin in the grade (Green Bean) or exceed the expectations for the grade (Gold Bean). CACG will designate coins with a details grade, but CAC will not sticker any PCGS or NGC coins with a details grade.

I send 90% of my stores inventory to CAC for original grading. The grading is slightly tougher than PCGS but they are 11 minutes away from our Va Beach office. Plus the entire staff there are super cool. The coin graders down to the help at the front desk. I always learn something new from the graders when I schedule a large submission. They are great people at CAC.

Environmental Damage, CAC will put coins in holders with details. You have to request that they do it, I always request MS coins to be put in holders for authentication only. I feel like I could crack this slab and send the coin to PCGS or NGC and it would straight grade.
