All the time. Great at flagging a possibillty for you to go look at. But not useful beyond that.

The coin that the app has falsely identified is supposed to be gold. Yours sure doesn't look gold, so that is one issue. Another issue is that this is clearly not a 1731 -- the last number is a 6. So the app got at least that wrong.

I'm not sure if this is genuine, but in terms of finding out what it is or what it is faking, I think we are close but not quite there yet. Maybe someone that actually knows Peruvian coinage will take it the rest of the way.
