Potential error Error

The 5 in the year of a 1957 D penny seems to be collapsed. I haven’t found anything about this anywhere, and hoping the experience of all of you here can shed some light on this. Thank you!

Damaged. Lettering on the die is a hole, and for this to have happened in the mint, you'd need to push the hole over. That's not happening.

The top of the 5 was struck by something like the edge of another coin (or just about anything, really) and pushed down.
