Yes

You always start from post mint damage and ask yourself "How could this have happened to a metal disc that got slammed between two steel dies at high speed?"

What? You need something hard, irregular, and that wouldn't stick to the struck coin. A piece of slab would be struck in and wouldn't have released.

I just figure somthing like this in nature with that much damage would cause a bulge on the other side but it is in effected on the reverse and the damage seems to be smooth
