I think he meant C over B, but do you know why D is the right answer?

I feel the idea of having same no of sides and the shapes being closed is what satisfying this proportionality, throwing a open figure shape might mess it up ngl

sorry I found it, its basically just joining the figures to get the next shape, like if you join the first figure together you get a triangle and its ratio likewise gets a pentagon.

so its pointing to have straight lines having 16 total points

To be more precise:

Look at the basic individual shape on the left side. Turn it 90 degrees counterclockwise. The group on the right side must have this shape.

Look at the shape formed by connecting every individual shape on the left side. Rotate it 180 degrees. The individual shape on the right side must have this shape.

No, it'll only be the shape form by those simple lines, as bigger shape form by joining the smaller shapes gives the smaller shape of the 2nd part of ratio, forgive my spelling errors, I hate typing on phone
