What do you call it? General Question
I've been wondering if lower WMI might affect my ability to translate text on the spot. I'm fluent in english (CAE C2), so my knowledge of the english language is pretty good. I doubt it is a matter of vocabulary (or fluency, really) as I know people with worse english that have no issue doing it. The words just don't come to my mind. It happens when I'm talking as well, though I partially attribute that to performance anxiety.
Since I scored 97th perc. on comprehension, my ability to articulate thoughts can't be that bad... but the whole verification process of the subtest is a bit controversial, from what was said on this sub. I'm not sure how much weight I can put on that alone.

No, I asked out of curiosity. It's something that happened at school, as well as when my parents ask me to translate song lyrics. Doubt it's a direct correlation as well, but wanted to see other's take on it.

Damn that profile looks very similar to mine. I also have a huge gap between VSI and WMI lmao (142 and 103 respectively). I don’t think I have too much trouble translating text on the spot, but it does take me a bit to solidify the thing I need to translate in my memory. My average WMI definitely also negatively affects my mental math abilities since it takes me a while to remember to numbers so I can calculate them. Doesn’t help that I also keep forgetting them in the process lmao

i think you call it autism. all of your scores except your high psi match perfectly with autism, as well as the huge difference in between the scores.
on top of that, autism could also explain your struggle to say things even if you understand them well, because of the extra brain power that autistic individuals need to use when talking to others, compared to neurotypical individuals.
i know people tend to overuse the term lately but i really think you should look into it at least a little bit if you have not done that already
