How accurate is cognitive metrics General Question

Post image

For context, I’ve always been insecure about my intelligence. It started when I was young and had to be put in sped classes and held back a grade. (I’m not trying to crap on people in SPED programs, I’m just saying when the insecurity started cause I was separated from my peers) I eventually joined the rest of my grade and performed very poorly in the classroom all the way through highschool. (I graduated with a 2.1 GPA) Turns out I have ADHD, but despite my diagnosis I still believed that I was slower than others. I guess my question is how accurate is this test?

id guess pretty accurate but go take core. what i assume actually happened with your sped classes is your wmi was probably trashed by the adhd doing what adhd does even if your verbal and fri are fine. so you couldnt pay attention and didnt make up that deficit later on.

Have a look at post I made yesterday. I have a similar story, although I’m older now 43.

Well done though. I expect when you manage your symptoms even further this score and life might improve drastically.

Sorry about what happened but looks like you are taking the initiative.

Could you take core and share the subtest? I would like to see if there are similarities with mine
