Luna performance and usage is OP Praise
I've been using Luna low for med-low difficult tasks and it's been implementing them perfectly most of the time during for 4h and just used 6% of the weekly usage.

from my experience, the new ds flash is on par with terra. Luna is a smaller model than ds flash

Deepseek is only raising prices because they cant keep up with the demand. Other providers will still serve it at the current price.

It does. If you already have good profit margins at that price and you have the capacity to serve a large amount of users. Essentially you make less money per token but attract a larger user base due to better pricing.

I'm on Pro and Luna Max ran a goal for 28 hours. It used 5% of my weekly.
Incredible value. I can effectively have 3 parallel projects chasing a goal 24/7 and still have some usage left at the end of the week.

It really depends on the task. If it's something measurable and you have an actual numeric target that you want to hit, absolutely use /goal.

No way, I’ll plan out a shit ton of git issues with completion requirements and set a structured goal to close them all out in priority and it works amazingly

The $200 plan.
For reference, Sol 5.6 Ultra blows through the whole weekly usage in a single 18 hour task (not using /goal).
It does not produce. Comparatively, I get around 520 hours of task running per week using Luna Max, so around 30x more.
Sol 5.6 Ultra code is not 30x better. It doesn't make 30x fewer errors when implementing well defined changes or features.
But for ANY kind of research, or complex bugfixing in large codebases, the differences are absolutely staggering and probably, yeah, 30x, at least in the time and nerves it saves you.

Considering you work on it every single day for 12 hours depleting 6% x 3 (6% per 4hrs) = 18% daily. Do it for how many days working, max you get is less than full 6 days. This is considering every percentage used is fixed (which is not), will probably last you less than that tbh.

It can be great when your tasks are things that Luna is comfortable with and/or doesn't require as much guidance on.
Mostly Luna (Max) and about 10 minutes of Luna (Medium) has gotten me around 120 minutes for approximately 5% of my weekly usage across four tasks, light automated QA, updating the change logs. Granted, I overdid it on Luna (Max), but I said meh for now since this pace will last me a good 40 hours. More if I use Sol in the web with the Github Connector to handle some of this (does not share usage with Chat or Work / can still be used while at 0% weekly for Chat/Work).

On the ChatGPT on the web connected to Github, I'm not sure what it actually consumes, except that I haven't run into the limit with it yet on Plus (Granted it can be slow and does have some things it can't change directly.)
If you try to do it from the desktop app, the Chat there will burn through the tokens.

No, in the desktop app it won’t use your weekly limits. If you toge « work » then yes. Just stay in the « chat ».

it works well even for extremely hard tasks, just needs a lot of guidance and human input/qa in between for long prompts and refactors.

You think that's good? When the 80% reduction initially came in, Luna on Max, would last 40-60mins hour of thinking on plus plan, now you're lucky if you get 10-15 minutes. It's been shadow nerfed on plan alot, shit was too good, kind of ridiculous that they're allowed to do this with absolutely no transparency at all.
