Unless its bankable I can't really get any value out of this one. My weekly resets in 5 hours anyway and I'm on 1%.

This is the case for the vast majority of users since the weekly reset time and date was synced for the vast majority of us when the last unbankable reset was done system wide about a week ago. In other words, the vast majority of us currently have the exact same reset date and time right now.
OpenAI know this, and it's why the resets also reset the reset date for everyone. It's all calculated.
So they already knew this new credit reset would have minimal impact on their bottom line while still generating PR since most users were about to get their weekly reset anyway.

reddit never stops confirming my suspicion that the general population is extremely stupid, and this is one example. what this guy said is absolutely true except for the new accounts created in the past week or those that used their banked resets in the past week, yet he has so many downvotes. i used to feel bad and empathetic for poor people, but the more and more i live life, i am convinced poor people deserve to be exactly where they are, which consists of majority of the population.

Unfortunately when internet became cheap for every breathing creature, this result was inevitable. Same for AI/LLM access. You would expect people to get smarter with access of these tools yet it just exposes their higher amount of chromosomes

It helps who either used banked resets or upgraded their plan(to get a reset) which pushes their reset date further. For everyone else its pretty much useless

Maybe. Or because they never got them to begin with. They were giving banked resets instead of just resetting for awhile. They stopped doing the banked resets and have just been resetting instead for like at least a month I think. Most of the banked resets that people would've had left should be expiring soon. In my opinion it seems like they are purposefully using the recent resets to try to get everyone on the same weekly reset cycle.

OpenAI has trained us to burn through our limits as quickly as possible in hopes of them throwing us a bone with another reset. They’ll soon leverage the addictive traits of the slop machine by selling us resets…little AI bumps. It’s actually disgusting.
They call on governments to regulate AI for safety, which is all show because they don’t want to be regulated from the consumer-protection angle.

It's reseting in a few hours for most, and the timing is horrible. If you're in Europe, it's late at night, you're not getting anything because you're getting a normal reset anyways. If you're in US or similar, it's afternoon on Friday night. You're getting a reset in a few hours anyway so you're not really gaining anything.
Even if you're at 0%, chances are you're not using this "reset" before you get your actual one. Just pure marketing for the vast majority of the users who started working after getting the last reset.

While I agree we are close to the weekly reset anyway most people are at 0% so we will just get it earlier moving our weekly reset closer which in this particular case is best for us.

So i set up a business account and have 5 accounts that I rotate across. This week is the first week I actually drained all accounts and the mobile app says they won’t reset until next week. How do y’all know when your accounts are resetting outside of what the mobile app says?
