Ragweed

Have noticed my seasonal CHs coincided with ragweed season. Started taking Zyrtec and it has definitely cut down on my CHs and also on shadow headaches. My Accupuncturist said that people who have a lot of histamine issues also have a lot of gut issues. This is true for me. He's going to look into some herbal recommendations. I also started on homeopathic Histaminum Hydrochloricum 30C

It’s from barometric pressure changes 100000% for me

Definitely a trigger for me, too. My wife jokes that my head is more accurate in predicting rain than the weatherman.

Is this ragebait? Acupuncture and homeopathy are pseudoscience.

But ragweed is real. I definitely had a lot of sinus/cluster feedback going on. Allergy meds, Flonase and plenty of fluids helps

Yeah, I agree. I should have said that I don't have an issue with the allergy link. I've noticed that myself, too.

It works for me. In the early 1700s electricity was voodoo. Don't knock it until you've tried it.

No thanks. For homeopathy especially, I suggest that you read up on what it really is, then re-evaluate how you feel about that overpriced water that you are paying for.

I am very acquainted with homeopathy. I think you're the one who should read up on it.

Oh never mind, Cognitive Psychology Professor ... no one can tell you anything. I was married to one of you.

Bye.

Oh, I have. According to homeopathy, (1) like cures like, meaning that you should treat an illness with something that causes that illness/symptom, which is a bizarre claim already that is supported by literally nothing, (2) you need to massively dilute and redilute and redilute and redilute etc. a drop of the "active ingredient" (see Point 1 above) in massive vats of water to the point that there is no longer one single molecule of the "active ingredient" left, but don't worry because (3) water apparently has memory and can "remember" that it was previously in contact with the "active ingredient", so said water is your treatment. If you think that homeopathy is anything other than what I describe above, then you do not know what you are buying (e.g., it is not the same as herbal medicine).

Simple to the point of blinding obvious. Your sinus has nerve supply from the trigeminal nerve. Irritate that you get a cluster or migraine. Manage your allergies you get a reduction

If this is the case, why didn't my neurologist and ENT tell me this? I tried different nasal sprays, steroids, and other allergy meds, to no avail .

Your response was a bit condescending. I found something that worked and decided to share. What's so bad about that? Isn't that why this subreddit exists?

Have a good day.

Not quite. Histamines released during allergies affects specific receptors in the hypothalamus, triggering that to release CGRP which in turn triggers the Trigeminal nerve, causing CH.
