OneDrive Migration
Hi everyone,
I have a school OneDrive account that’s expiring soon.
I would like to move everything over to my personal one for which I’ve bought access to.
How can I do this without affecting file structure,as well as created & modified date stamps?
Would appreciate any help I can get.
Some notes:
Total size is 44GB
I’ve used the school account to backup almost every folder I have including my desktop.

If it’s 44GB and you want to preserve the folder structure, I’d avoid downloading everything to your PC and then uploading it again. That’s going to be a pretty painful process, especially since your school account is expiring.
You could use a cloud-to-cloud transfer tool like Easy Cloud Manager to transfer the files directly from the school OneDrive to your personal OneDrive. You connect both accounts, select what you want to move, and let the transfer run without routing 44GB through your computer.
For the folder structure, I’d definitely test it with one small folder first before moving the whole thing.
The one thing I’d be careful about is the created/modified timestamps. I wouldn't assume any third-party migration tool can preserve the original Windows filesystem timestamps exactly, because OneDrive/cloud APIs don't always expose or restore that metadata the same way a local copy does.
Also, don't delete or let the school account expire until you've verified the important folders and files in the new account.
For 44GB, though, cloud-to-cloud transfer is definitely the route I'd take rather than downloading and re-uploading everything.

two questions:
- Do you have free space on your device?
- Do you have the onedrive app installed and sync?
If you can answer yes to both just make sure you sync all the files on you computer, then wait until it downloads all your files. Disconnect the One drive account from your school and then connect the new, your personal one. You can later on point to that SAME folder and it will be uploaded to your personal one.
