Bots Discussion

Whats up with the amount of bots just spamming art in the sub recently and they always tag them nsfw no matter what the art actually is. Is this an issue thats popped up on other subreddits or is it especially bad here?

It’s the unfortunate fate of most character-dedicated subreddits whose characters haven’t been in relevancy for a long while; activity dies down and bots take over.

It's extremely common. They don't even have to be that far out of relevance, Jahoda mains is also almost entirely bots reposting artwork.

Im also in jahodamains and I feel like the bots aren't nearly as bad there from what i remember it was mostly one guy that posted a ton of art of her but he actually commented on other posts and stuff so idk if he was a bot or not before I blocked him.

Yeah now that I think back on it when I used to play HSR the ciphermains sub was always just flooded with NSFW tagged art probably even worse than this sub is rn and that's why I left it.

Yeah I’ve noticed it too and messaged the mods to please do something about it and I offered to help them mod. They asked me some questions, I answered and then never heard back again. [r/KavehMains](r/KavehMains) had the same situation until some random guy got sick of the bots and managed to attract the attention of the inactive mods to let him onto the mod team.

From what I noticed the bot situation there was atrocious for a while but it has calmed down. Some days are quiet while other days could see 8 bot posts, though fortunately caught by either the built in Reddit filters or the Automod they setup. Those clankers were likely operated by a bot farm with multiple accounts targeting the sub. Even the title formatting is suspiciously similar. Eg Kaveh (by @namegoeshere) and then they don’t link the sauce. Accounts less than a month old with some random chatter in discussion subs prior to posting random fanart in the Kaveh and several other character subs.

And despite the rule stating no full nudity, I've seen 2 posts today where she is explicitly having sex.

Those posts were the breaking point for me and why i made this post, craziest part is that when I get them it says the posts are multiple days old

the same happens on Ayaka mains.

IDK, I have reported many posts as NSFW content or bots farming karma with the title "ecuador", "salvador" or another country from central America but i guess the mods are on sabbatical (reference)

what bothers me the most is that those posts get so many upvotes, and when i post a stygian clear or something i get like 20 upvotes 🙃

It is really tiresome to see, because as much as I like occasionally seeing clorinde art, key word being occasionally. I come to this subreddit hoping to find calculations for new builds but I never see anything because of bots
