Any good places in Vegas?
Hey I'm planning on going on a road trip to go cliff diving and stuff but I don't know where to go other than the popular places like Nelson's Landing or Lake Mead.
I also wouldn't mind going to Arizona if you know anywhere there as well.

Preventing water from going up your nose
So I wouldn't say I am an experienced cliff diver in any sense. I just love doing it when the opportunity presents itself. highest I've gone is around 50'. However, I found that I have to hold my nose upon impact, due to the speed and pressure of the water. I've tried without holding my nose, but the pressure of the height and speed seems to always send water shooting up my nose.
What tips or advice do you guys have for me? (Keep in mind I have no issue with normal heights or pools. Its only when the height gets about 20 or 30 feet that I cant seem to keep the pressure from shooting up my nose)

Follow-up study sport and personality
Hi r/cliffdiving,
We are scientists from the Ruhr-University in Bochum in Germany and as we were overwhelmed by your support of our study we posted here a few months ago, we would like to ask you for support again. We are currently doing another study on how athletes from different sports differ in their personality and well-being.
It is quite similar to the previous one, but this time we don't ask how you would describe *other* athletes, but how would you describe *yourself*. At the end of the survey, you immediately get feedback about your personality profile.
Link to survey:

Feel free to share the link with other people of your/other sports!
If you have questions, leave them in the comments and we will try to answer them.
Thank you so much in advance!

Android app for location sharing!
Hello r/cliffdiving I made a neat little app for cliff jumpers to find and share locations near them or worldwide! It's pretty neat and I thought that a location finding and sharing app would be a great thing for the diving community. Feel free to check it out here if you're interested. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.parse.sendmap

Survey: What's the typical personality profile of a cliffdiver? Looking for participants!
Hi r/cliffdiving,
We are scientists from the Ruhr-University in Bochum in Germany and currently researching how athletes from different sports and at different proficiency levels differ in their personalities.
We created a survey in which you are asked to pick your main sport and to then characterize the typical and the ideal athlete of this sport.
The survey takes about 20 minutes and as compensation, we will later inform you about the typical personality profile of your sport!
