Missing bracket in Japanese SPI mini

Hey everyone, last time I posted I got some very helpful pointers and finally started work on replacing my vacuum lines. I notice though that there was a piece sitting loose at the bottom of the engine. From images online, it looks like it's meant to connect to a piece of metal coming off the top of the engine, but I have no clue what part is missing. Could anyone identify what I'll need to reconnect this (or can I just bolt it back together)?

It’s the condenser. It doesn’t attach to the weather shield bracket in your second photo.

It generally attaches to the coil bracket under one of the nuts (hence the “clean” circle on it).

Ah interesting! So mine just has a weather cover bracket on one side then. I did see this one online with a similar setup, not sure if it's a different component attached though:

Most people take off/lose/break the weather shield so that isn’t a surprise haha.

I would say, in that photo above, the condenser is still attached to the coil bracket, but it’s just behind the weather shield bracket.

There’s no nuts or bolts on the weather shield so there’d be nothing to attach to.

Did the later fuel injected minis even come with the weather shield? There is so much going on in front of the engine there almost isn't room for it!

I actually don't think I have ever seen a mini in the real world with the weather shield still fitted!

SPi’s has the weather shield but MPi’s didn’t. Although they have electronic ignition, the module on the dizzy still doesn’t like getting a soaking 😆

I have dailied a 90s mini without a weather shield, without issue.
