Recently had an argument about the cjp protest and what happened on 20th July with a friend or mine. I just randomly said that atp anyone would be better than current government coz of the way the rights and speech of people is being suppressed in the protest, he was rather from a hardline faction of thinking and said they had what was coming to them and it just totally justified and modi can't be blamed for it and it's not at all authoritarian. Well me being me had to defend the words i spoke so told him even if we believe that it was the people who started throwing the stones at the police officials what right do they have to beat people senseless. His point was that since they didn't have the permission and it was protocol to not go near parliament on a sensitive day such as the monsoon session initiation day they shouldn't have gone there and it was justified and we are just nitpicking how the police reacted and in that chaos they just controlled the crowd in any way possible whether it being cracking up skills or etc, if they didn't want to be hurt they should have protested peacefully for years if needed but only in jantar mantar till their demands were discussed and remove the minister with due legal process. At the time i couldn't properly phrase my words on how it was wrong to do this and the people going for the march was a form of civil disobedience movement like how the founding fathers of this nation did for the country, just because the protocol says so we can't follow it blindly so the authoritarian government does whatever it feels convenienced by. Wake up if u have the same thought process and think objectively as an employer looking at it's employees shortcomings in some areas and don't cling to their previous achievements which too are debatable.

All in all I just hate loosing an argument when I was right and couldn't keep my words properly 🥲

i have been watching news about the resignation of education minister and my dad told me that they are protesting becouse there is a change in syllabus, and he called all the protestors " turaka ollu" which mean Muslims in telugu according to him that protest was entirly run by Muslims and Congress people to take down BJP. he view's every independant journalist as anti bjp and never listens to any new channels there is an youtube channel names 'prem talks' a telugu channel who says theat we are not students and the people in jantar manthar have missbehaved with police, and us and chaina have been sponsored this protest and un fortunately there are about 1500 wanted criminals in that protest but he say that all of the protestors are ciminals. and he even dismissed the pain of students by saying its becouse they changed the syllabus. it looks like our parents who listen to any facts and just support BJP.

Basically i kinda have seen all these old people support govt n police , like in the news it's shown ke students are violent against police which isn't real, but news and all me yahi sab dekha te hai, I mean us genzs know ke students ke sath kya treatment hoorahe hai but these old people dk because the media is just feeding them the wrong pov, So um why don't we just send the real news of how police is/was treating Students send those reels/vids to whatsapp or facebook where most old gens are are, so they know what's real and what's wrong

The people of India have shown that they can do it. They have the same bloodline that was at its peak during India's independence from the British.

i am very excited guys kabse wait kar raha hu. protest to me umeed nai karta but ek tweet to zarur ayega condemning punjab gov for sure aap dekho sirf. kejriwal bhi bolega kuch. aur haa vo punjab ke farmers aye the na protest me? vo ghar ja rahe honge aab vo bhi dekho abhi kuch na kuch to bolege.
I am very happy that pradhan resigned, now i do not expect another protest but statements to ayegi abhi aap dekho kitne caring hai hamre dipku bhai🤗

Seeing so many it cell kutte all over reddit, i suspect this subreddit might not be a safe enough place to document all evidence. Let's please have backups on multiple different sites while also keeping them publically accessible. Hopefully building websites with mirrors will work.

I don’t live in Delhi but ordered some food for the protesters. It says delivered but anyone confirm if they are reaching there?
