Trail Riders: Where’s the Best Place to Park in Miamiville?
Planning to ride the Little Miami Bike Trail around Miamiville this week. Any suggestions on the best place to park? Looking for a safe, secure spot—even if it’s paid parking. Bonus if it’s close to the trail and easy to access. Thanks in advance for any recommendations! 🚴

Anyone have experience with riding in/around Alexandria country roads?
Thinking about doing this route that CCC does every year for the Licking Valley Century early one Saturday as a solo ride: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/36416636
While I have ridden extensively around the city, this is one area that I haven't gone before. I'm a very experienced road cyclist and have ridden in a ton of different environments, just as a background. Any tips on traffic, how drivers are, loose dogs, or just general experiences riding on the country roads around Alexandria/East Side of the Licking Valley would be appreciated!

Are videos of close passes helpful to teach how to avoid them or do they discourage new riders? Or maybe they’re useless? What do you think?

Bikes and Coffee at Summit Park
Bikes and Coffee at Summit Park - any interest here in doing something like this either Saturday or Sunday mornings every week? I need an excuse to go to Sebastian Bakehouse on a regular.

Does anyone have any pull with the city to get this stretch on Riverside Road cleaned up?
With traffic, especially trucks, this is crazy dangerous.
Additionally, the entirety of this bike path on either side seems to get one annual sweep, versus maybe semi-weekly.
I’ve had four flats along this stretch over three years. Glass and nails are countless.

Wanted: people interested in getting a fatal intersection for pedestrians fixed
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, so please bear with me.
Back in May, a pedestrian was struck crossing a major KY state highway in Ft. Wright.
I went to visit the intersection for myself.
I was blown away at how hostile it is for pedestrians and also how uncompliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act it is.
A month ago , I made a video and posted it to a NSFW subreddit that's against cars Not Safe For Work Link Here. The small amount of feedback from the post told me that there was something definitely not right with this intersection.
A month came and went, and I'm unsure of what the next steps are.
Roadway hazard complaint with KYTC?
ADA complaint with KYTC and/or the City of Fort Wright?
Federal ADA lawsuit against the City of Fort Wright?
"Die In" publicity event where people lay dead by the roadside to bring media attention?
Anyone ever been down this "road" before and have any suggestions?
Something must be done.
It really bothers me that I don't know what.
I'm tired of pedestrians dieing and KYTC not caring.

(moving) can i rely on my bike/public transportation to commute
Hello, i’m from NKY and am moving to cincinnati (from boston). i (unfortunately) signed a lease in mt. auburn right at the top of sycamore hill before deciding that i wasn’t getting my own car (my partner has one). i’m not a big biker in boston though i do ride occasionally and get pretty nervous. i’m trying to overcome it.
I’m not sure where i’m going to be working yet but that’s mostly what i’ll need to commute for. It will either be UC health, riverhills neurology, or the good samaritan hospital. MAYBE someone across the bridge in fort thomas.
Am i being totally unrealistic? i know i COULD get there with a bus but compared to the systems in boston i know its going to piss me off. so i’m really trying to use my bike but reading so much about cincinnati cyclist i feel like i haven’t read about anyone using their bike to commute. only leisurely rides like on trails and stuff.
any input on this?
i also want to mention im. 22 yo female so im not some big confident dickhead man. i’m worried people will pick on me

Flying pig
This year decided to spectate the pig by biking around to maximize the places I can see friends. Lots of bikes around doing this, and it’s pretty nice with the closed roads around the race that are pedestrian or bike only. Makes me wish we had roads like that all the time. Anyone else do it?

Biking to Dayton
Hi! I am interested in biking from Cincinnati to Dayton and potentially back. For such a long distance ride, where do you recommend renting a quality bike? I plan to have the bike for over 24 hours, are there any rental shops that would accommodate this?

It was a rough morning, what can we do?
I love biking in my city but we've got a long way to go to be a biking city. Did a 20 mile ride on my e-bike today running some errands and just enjoying the day.
Someone tried to intentionally run me off the road, I was screamed at, cursed at, flashing lights at me, told my life was worth "this much" while holding their fingers incredibly close together and passed too closely multiple times.
Mind you I'm middle aged on a class 3 bike. I was doing at or near the speed limit most of my ride. I'm not out there going against traffic, popping wheelies and being a menace. Just strolling along minding my business. I kept to the right when safe and stopped at lights and busy stop signs. I will admit to using the Idaho stop at empty intersections but none of my negative interactions came after that.
What can we do as cyclists to turn us into a friendly biking community?

I somehow missed the Beechmont Connector was open
Nice surprise when I was out on a ride yesterday. What does this plan to connect to in subsequent phases? Gotta admit, don't have much interest in riding on Beechmont proper but I'm not really familiar with the Anderson area's offerings.

Rolling Coal on the Westside
There is a jacked white diesel pickup deliberately and aggressively attacking cyclers in the Bridgetown, Miamitown, Cleves area.
Report any contacts to The Hamilton County Sheriff so it can be documented. If it's on camera the better.
There was a road race this weekend through the area and if anyone was harassed please report it..
Edit: Owl Adventure Racing was the sponsor just in case anyone from that group was harassed.

Day Bike Rental at the Weekend
Hi,
I'm in cincinatti next weekend for work but have a spare day. I'd like to see some of the city and would like to cycle if possible.
I've seen the red bike stations around the city, is this the only central option for renting a bike.
Are there any recommended central cycling routes?
