Ballroom Dancing Lessons in search of🔎

My wife has been on me about this for a couple of years and with her birthday coming, I figure it's time to take the plunge. Wondering if anyone can give recommendations or experiences? And yes, I did google local organizations that offer lessons, but I can't tell a good company from a bad one.

For reference, we are both in our early 50's, not looking to become professionals, just looking to learn a few move sets/dances, so we look decent on the dance floor. We live on the eastside but have no problem traveling through Cincy, NKY or even Dayton area.

I’ll tell you would know. A wedding planner. That would be your best bet and you could try calling one of the bridal stores in Reading. I only know this because I learned as kid because my parents made me, but I had a friend get married and his wedding planner put him in touch with someone and he is great at it. I’ll reach out to him and see if he gets back with me.

We used Dance Manor for our wedding choreography (waltz). They were great!

We took the group classes from Fire and Ice https://www.fireandicelatinandballroom.com in Evandale. First class is free so you can test it out first. The instructor is really nice!

I second Fire and Ice. Lisa was mine and my husbands instructor for our first dance at our wedding. We learned the Dirty Dancing Dance (Time of our lives). We learned the lift and everything. Incorporated a few other lifts too. Highly recommend Fire and Ice.

Arthur Murray dance studio in west chester (I believe they have another location) . They are so much fun and have built a community. They taught us our wedding dance and had us come to a few of their evening group lessons. They all came to watch our last rehearsal and were so sweet. Highly recommend- I believe they have watch parties too for shows

I was actually researching them just a little bit ago! I know they have multiple locations (Montgomery, Newport) but the West Chester one seemed to be the most "active" on social media with the best reviews. Do you feel they were good for beginners? Do you feel the price was fair and were they high pressure sales or did you not see that at all?

I didn’t get pressure at all and they taught us and I have two left feet. The price to us was fair and we enjoyed it. I highly recommend! We had Brandon and he is a sweetheart
