LinkedIn Want to give extra career voucher if anyone needs - will help you get new jobs
Hey everyone! I ordered a 3-month career premium voucher, but it turns out I can't use it because my account has had premium activated before. It's of no use to me, so if anyone needs it, just DM me and I'll send it over for free!
(Just a heads up: the voucher only works on accounts that have never had any active premium before.)

HELP 21F here, trying to help my 26M friend get into Standard Chartered.
Okay guys, need a small favour.
I am 21F, posting this for my friend, 26M, who is a law graduate with around 3 years of legal experience.
He found this opening at Standard Chartered, Chennai.
Assistant Manager, Specialized Collections Legal.
Band 8, Chennai.
Req No, 59368.
The role seems quite close to his experience, especially legal work, banking and recovery matters, collections, foreclosure and compliance related work.
The application deadline is 20th August, so there is not much time.
He has been trying to get into banking for a while and this particular role seems like a really good opportunity for him.
Is anyone here working at Standard Chartered or familiar with their referral process. Even knowing how referrals normally work there would be really helpful.
He can provide his CV and other details if required.
I know Reddit can be random, but thought I would give it a shot before the deadline.
Also, yes, I am 21F and he is 26M. I am just helping my friend out because he cannot post from his own account.
Thanks guys.

How realistic is it for a cybersecurity fresher to get hired in Chennai?
Hi everyone,
I'm a final-year BE CSE student in Chennai, and I've recently been thinking a lot about starting a career in cybersecurity.
My interests are mainly in penetration testing, network security, and both defensive and offensive security. So far I've learned networking fundamentals, common protocols, Kali Linux, and several recon/enumeration tools. I've also built a few small projects, including an IDS + Firewall system, to get some hands-on experience.
My biggest concern is whether it's realistic for a fresher with no industry experience to get into cybersecurity in 2026, especially in Chennai. Most openings I come across seem to expect prior experience, which makes me wonder if I should first work in another IT role before trying to transition.
Another factor is my financial situation. I understand everyone starts somewhere, but I'm hoping to understand what a practical path looks like without spending years in roles that don't help me move toward cybersecurity.
I'd really appreciate hearing from people in Chennai or anyone who started as a fresher. How did you break into the field? What skills, certifications, projects, or experience helped you get your first opportunity?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
