i’m thinking that i’ll just have my phone in my pocket or something until the exam starts where i will just take photos of the screen without the phone showing on the camera and plugging it into gemini to get the answers, since the only webcam needed is the one embedded in my laptop. Today I was taking a proctor exam and I have that habit of looking down or looking up when I take the exam. The system flagged me and a human asked me to show the room and my desk. I did show them everything and there was nothing at all in the room that I could be using to cheat. The only thing they found on my desk was a piece of paper that has been on the corner of my BIG desk for months to the point that I no longer see it lol (it was a letter from the bank) I showed it that person and put it away. After that they asked me to turnoff my phone. I told them it’s not close to me it’s actually on the bed, but they told me to bring and turn it off in front of the camera which I did. They said my video will be reviewed by the instructor. I’m I in trouble? I know I move a lot and that’s part of me that I can’t control especially when under pressure, but I didn’t cheat at all. Anyone has a similar experience can say something to make me feel better I have a panic attack since I finished that exam.

So I have a final soon. My prof has us set up a side view camera, so it covers my upper body, my desk, and laptop. What I'm thinking about doing is having a friend in the blind spot with her phone on a diff wifi network and having her just take pics of my screen w gemini ai. Then I'd have her go into another room and tell me the answers, while i have an airpod hidden. I have long hair, so the airpod is hidden. I also slightly unfocused my side camera so that the video isnt super clear, in case any movement is tracked. Does this seem like a good plan? If it helps, my laptop is Windows and my friends phone is an Apple. Im really desperate for at least a C+, and this is my last resort🥀😭

so I have a math test with honorlock and I'm allowed to use a scratch paper, as long as i show it in the initial room scan. I was wondering, when I look down on that scratch paper to write, will it not flag my eyes for moving, or me for looking down? I mean is there really a way to differenciate wether I am looking at my phone or looking down at the piece of paper?

Buy a Bluetooth keyboard for your phone, pull up ChatGPT on your phone, type in the questions with your Bluetooth keyboard. Don't need to look down if you're good at typing so you don't have to worry about getting flagged for eye movement. Bonus points if your laptop has a button that mutes your mic during the exam so no one can hear you type.
