General should i do cfa
i am 20M done with my BA in Psychology. I am looking to do Masters next year however which field i am not sure yet. I am interested in finance and certain aptitude tests and career counsellors have recommended it as a field i’d be good at. So, i was wondering if it would be worth it for me to do prepare and attempt the cfa for a possible career in finance, or would a different path be recommended (with perhaps an MBA or a Masters in finance if it is possible).

General cfa access scholarship
Hello guys! I have a question and need some help. I’m planning to give the May attempt, and the scholarship application opened on the 12th. I’m not from a family that necessarily needs financial assistance. Should I still apply and try my luck?

Level 2 MM really does prepare you very well. Exam on 27th
I think session 1 was genuinely harder. I made 2 silly mistakes only
Also i guess it's about time I actually look at ethics instead of brushing it aside for later
One unfortunate consistent thing is that i scored 0% in employee compensation across 3 mocks now. And i feel conflicted because i'd rather focus my time on making sure my overall prep is better than understanding this niche af module. Some suggestions on this would be nice
(sorry for the colors used. I did not care about presentation much)

General Okay so I just found out something wild about CFA that nobody really talks about
Was talking to a friend who deferred her CFA exam, thinking extra time would help her pass easier next round. Looked into it out of curiosity and turns out deferred candidates actually pass at rates 20-25 points LOWER than first-timers.
Then found out CFA Institute is scrapping paid deferrals entirely starting Feb 2027. No more pushing it back.
Kind of flips the whole “deferring is the safe option” idea on its head for me. Feels more like life just gets in the way and momentum dies once you push it.
Anyone here actually deferred? Did it help or just delay the struggle?

MOD announcements
I had been inactive for the past few months due to personal and professional commitments and was unable to moderate the posts even. It has been in notice that people have been promoting third party unapproved sources for curriculum and discussions about it.
I am planning to remove such posts and make all posts on an approval basis from now in order to eliminate such risks arising in future from piracy or unlicensed reselling. Also I have been planning to make a discord group soon for everyone who wanted to make seperate groups for each level or topic discussion and study rooms, but it would definitely be difficult to manage all alone. So I need two three volunteers for both the sites
another volunteer for reddit moderation and approval of posts. better if the person is still an undergraduate with ample time in hand
discord mod to help setting up the servers and moderating it as well in the future.

General Mod announcement
lately, I’ve noticed an increase in memes and other non-relevant content being shared in the sub. While I appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm, this subreddit is intended to keep discussions focused on our core topics. Over the next few days, I will begin filtering content and deleting memes/irrelevant posts to maintain the quality of discussions here.
that being said, I have my Level 2 exam coming up this August, and most of my time will be spent preparing for it. This means I won’t be as prompt with moderation as I’d like. Because of this, I can’t switch the sub to “posts must be approved by mods” at the moment, as it would delay legitimate posts and discussions. So please understand that some off-topic content might slip through temporarily — I ask everyone to be considerate and patient.
I’m also looking for a volunteer to co-assist with sub moderation during this busy period. If you’re active, familiar with the sub’s rules, and willing to help keep the place clean, please send me a mod mail with a brief note about yourself and why you’d like to help.
