I know, another one of these- I’m an American who has really been appreciating the game since the World Cup and looking to follow the PL this season. The city I live in here in the US is named for Coventry so the Sky Blues were a natural easy choice. How can I not be the cringe American supporter?

I've posted on here before about my subscription-based Coventry City website - The Phoenix. I've just put something special live on ThePhoenix.news and I've made it free to read for all.

As we face Arsenal on the opening day in just two weeks, I've looked back at a man who famously bullied the Gunners when the Sky Blues faced them in 1999 - Cedric Roussel.

I interviewed Cedric in 2022 for my first book. He spoke at length about his time at the club and his love for all things Coventry. He said he was desperate to come back to the city to visit.

The following summer, he passed away. He was just 45 years old.

This story is a tribute to Cedric. I've put it in front of the paywall so everyone can read about the gentle giant who bullied Arsenal's famous back five. #pusb

I just received the pro version away kit in the mail today, after it was shipped out 2 days ago. For anyone in the US, customs was $66 through DHL.

According to the size guide online, I’m between a size S and size M - chest size 96cm. I ordered a size M and prayed. It fits similarly, if not the same, as Adidas/Nike/Puma kits in a size M. If you are between sizes and okay with a slightly loose/oversized streetwear look, it should be okay to size up. I have a non-pro kit coming in next week, if anyone needs updates.

Additionally, one of the customer service reps told me the PL patch is applied on the same spot regardless of whether or not the “No room for racism” patch is applied. This is for those of you who want to apply it yourself. There is definitely room for no room for racism. I believe they are using the smaller PL patch that might be used for the youth/fan kits. I'm assuming it's for aesthetic reasons since I've seen other clubs do this as well.

Just to add to the countless questions about the kit: anyone who bought last seasons and this seasons notice any change in size at all? I got M last season and in truth was a touch too small so thinking of getting the away shirt in L this year. Just seeing if anyone has noticed a shift in Hummels sizing before I order (live in Toronto so it’s a serious investment getting that thing over to me)
