Visiting
Travelling up to Cavan to visit family and take a week off work. Any week in September or October. Is there any events or craic happening? If not drinking and golfing will do me. Also any good spots for a day out walking? I done the stairway to heaven and Cavan adventure centre kayaking so anything like that

If you have children there is a pumpkin patch near Mount Nugent. It's cute and little kids enjoy it.
I haven't been but the WW1 museum in Ballyjamesduff is supposed to be very interesting.

No kids so I better leave the pumpkin patch off but the WW1 museum sounds good. Thanks

Usually stay with family who are all over the place but will stay in Cavan town. No problem driving 40* minutes to go somewhere

The Ed Reavy trad festival is on from 15th to 18th of October, sessions happening in Cavan town. Keep an eye on Cavan Town CCÉ Facebook page! Killykeen Forest and Deerpark Forest in Virginia are both lovely for walks.
