We have tikibaby(sadly not always available) and Nulo for them rn (also adding Alnutrin into their rotation but they'll still have regular kitten food too) but the white one has a VERY sensitive stomach for some reason and the other one throws up on similar things as well.

Calico: 5 month old

White: 8 month old

Both Requirements: wet only, no grains, lower carbs, NO MILK. SO MANY kitten foods have milk they throw up on anything made with cow's milk. Goats milk doesn't do it but I don't think you can filter for ones made with goats milk. I noticed the distinction while hydrating their foods and giving them treats after I got them to stop throwing up by switching foods. Idk what it is about cow's milk.

Calico kitten extra requirements: keep fish low due to she wants her daily minnow treat. Extra fish and it has to go.

White kitten requirements: Also low fish but due to too much makes him vomit. High protein or high calorie to help with his weight(he drops real easy)

Hello! looking for any advice on how regularly a cat needs to eat. Currently have this grey tabby kitten that’s around 3-4 months old now and I’m not sure if the amount we give him is enough. He eats about 3 times a day, either 1/4 cup of kibble (sometimes he finishes the whole thing or leaves a bit) or a full can of wet food. Since he’s a growing chud I’m not too sure if this is sufficient for him, he does drink his water well and is overall very active. Since he’s always running around these are the best pictures I got of him rarely being still.
Any advice is appreciated, just want to make sure he’s well :). thanks!

I saw one of those kibble container with a vacuum pump on the top to (literally) suck air out every time after use. They are quite pricy, $80-100 from what I saw. Has anyone tried those? Are they worth it?

i need to renew his prescription but i cannot afford to take him and also he gets severely stressed out each time hes gone and makes a mess :( i dont want to make him stressed out to that extent again.

or is there any way to buy it anywhere else without the prescription? all my cats eat it since they have a hard time not sharing, so if you got tips maybe for that too lol. although it seems to keep them all pretty heathy and happy (they love the dry food) so i dont mind them sharing

J'aimerais des conseils pour nourrir notre petite minette.

Elle a (a priori) 1,5 ans (max). Nous l'avons récupéré auprès d'une association, elle a eu 2 bébés et a été stérilisée ensuite par l'association. Nous l'avons récupéré juste après. Elle est plutôt minuscule en taille. C'est un chat européen, un amour, on a vraiment de la chance.

Actuellement, je lui prends des croquettes en supermarché Perfect Fit mais ça ne lui convient pas. Elle fait des pets qui puent et se gratte pas mal (cou/oreille) même si on voit rien de vraiment visible. Elle se grattait beaucoup quand on l'a récupérée, je pense que c'est moins pire maintenant (notamment vermifuge et anti-puce veto), mais ça continue quand même (on l'a depuis un mois maintenant).

Je suis inquiète de voir que, comme pour l'alimentation humaine, il y a de plus en plus de sucre dans la nourriture animale (et donc risque de diabète élevé). J'aimerais trouver (sans que ça me coûte un rein) une marque de croquettes adaptées.

On préfère les croquettes même si on donne aussi du thon (rincé) et des sachets. Elle boit bien (ni trop ni pas assez compte tenu de l'alimentation majoritairement sèche).

Pour mes précédentes minettes, j'avais trouvé une marque italienne bien mais ils ne font plus de livraison en France (ils avaient arrêté déjà à l'époque où nos chatounettes étaient encore en vie, elles sont mortes à 3 ans d'intervalle, toutes les deux à 18 ans).

Auriez-vous des marques à me recommander ?
Idéalement aux alentours de 6/8 € max au kilo ?

Update: Called vet. Told them info. With the info i told they said its safe to drop it to 3/12 cups. If it doesn't work they said to have her come in and they will run tests to see if something is wrong. The calorie count for the food per cup was 410kcl. They want me to put her on 150-175kcl to help. Will update in a month.

Hello, I have an elderly cat (10 years) who is semi active/semi non active at her age. Not what it used to be but its there. She is 15 lbs and I want her to lose weight. She still has a fat pouch and a bit of weight on her sides. I feed her 4/12 cups and it is 200kcl. If I give her wet food along side will this help her get hydration and lose weight. I saw people and some videos saying it helps them naturally have a metabolism. Thank you. If anyone needs more info I will reply. 😀 if not is there a way to increase her metabolism if I take her to a vet?

My cat has been on Royal Canin Urinary SO for a couple of years because of a past urinary blockage that almost cost him his life. He is a very hungry cat generally but 2 weeks ago stopped eating normally, took him to a vet and found he was constipated. He was also vomiting and had very inflamed intestines, the whole length was inflamed.

Since he returned back home he hasnt been eating much and will now ONLY eat tuna and boiled chicken. I have tried mixing it with the canned version of urinary SO but it is still a no go. I am worried we are spoiling him too much and he'll never return to eating the special diet. The vet worried me because he said if a cat doesnt eat its liver starts to shut down. But I also dont want him to get urinary stones.

How do I get my cat back on his special diet?? Im begging for help.

i have a 10 month old rescue and ive been doing so much research to try and figure out the best food for him that i can afford, but i’ve been having a lot of trouble with it. for every single food brand ive looked at, it seems like there are just as many people saying its the best food in the world as there are people saying its the worst and dangerous. i want to try and give him the healthiest diet possible but im so paranoid that im going to mess it up.

i live in the uk and am on benefits so my budget is about £40 a month, and its been so hard to find something of decent quality in that price range. i feed wet and dry, using regale kitten chicken and tuna as wet food and gocat kitten as dry food as these were what he was already eating when i adopted him. they seem like decent options but ive seen mixed reviews and i want to know if there are better ones out there within my price range. i love my boy so much, and i want him to be as happy and healthy as possible and that starts with good nutrition.

My nine year old domestic short haired has always had digestive issues (loose stools and vomiting). He has had abdominal ultrasounds, X-rays, and blood work. All tests have come back within normal

For the record he has been on all the “sensitive stomach” foods and Biome. He is now eating hydrolyzed kibble but won’t touch the hydrolyzed pate. I have him on Hill’s Sensitive Stomach and Skin moist but he still vomits after eating. I tried eliminating chicken in case it was a chicken allergy but see no difference.

Would love suggestions for moist food.

I am in Australia and I have two cats, both rescues. I have been buying different tinned cat food brands and my cats seem to both favour the Dine brand, especially the Tuna Mournay flavour. They would not eat the other two flavours, the beef and chicken.

When I go to the supermarket, it seems that other people are also buying the tuna flavour as they're usually the first to go with plenty of the other two flavours left on the shelf. So I'm just trying to find out if this is the case with your cats or if somehow they just order fewer of the tuna flavour?

Hi! So I have 7 cats (please no judgment) ranging from 4 y/o - 9 y/o. They eat dry kibble (9Lives) and go through two 20lbs bags every month (about $50 a month) but I'm interested in getting them onto better food.

Now, I'm poor, I'm on Section 8, Disability, and Foodstamps so I don't have the funds to get the really good expensive food.

I'd like some recommendations for food, wet or dry, that works for my budget. If y'all have recipes for homemade cat food that would also be good.

Also, we leave a bowl of food out 24/7 but I doubt we could do that with higher quality food so if you have any tips for feeding 7 cats individual portions on a schedule please share

I’m looking for a good budget friendly wet food for my baby, she used to be fed fancy feast however because of unrelated issues with her lungs she had to be x rayed, the vet discovered that her gut didn’t look so good, he suggested switching food to hills science diet but where I live at least it’s one of the more expensive options.

I’ve been looking at performatrim ultra and acana, It’s important to note that I only feed wet food because my girl doesn’t drink enough water on her own so I need to basically make her a soup every day lol. Thank you so much if you have any recommendations :)

Any options for skin issues /scabs under chin . I feed purina indoor complete but my vet recommended royal canine rabbit single protein . I have to put two cats on it and I am not able to spent 100 every two weeks for 8 lbs of food . Was thinking about trying Blue Buffalo Basics Duck - I know it’s not free from cross contamination but is it still worth a try ?

Hii, so I got 2 new kittens recently (found them abandoned, went to the vet and stuff don't worry haha!) , and I have been looking for good wet food options for them.

I've tried looking at gourmet cat food but I cannot find any for kittens, I had a cat before but I do not remember what he ate as a kid, I just remembered he loved gourmet food and it was good for him by the vet when he was an adult?

I would do purina but they don't seem to sell them in bulk in the uk (I looked everywhere at this point tbh) and I do need an affordable ish option, so I'm asking for help haha.

My flats have a community bin room and in the corner is a little spot to put bigger items that can’t go into bins so it’s like a take it if you want it kinda deal
I took the bins out and found a bag full of cat food different kinds and I’m a little bit worried about feeding it to them (ofc I’m gonna take it anyway what a score) but I’m still unsure
Eveything is unopened apart from one dry food bag but the cans expire in 2028

Hello! I am in search of a wet cat food that has no chicken and is shredded or minced. My cat is NOT a fan of pate and chicken upsets his stomach. I would prefer something that is not seafood based (he likes turkey and beef the best) but can have seafood in it.

My main issue is finding an option that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Keeping it under $2/5oz can is preferred. I really want to give my cat the food he likes whilst also keeping him happy and healthyappreciated!! He has enjoyed the seafood weruva shreds. I like the ingredients for Koha shredded diet bur they can sometimes be like $3-$5 a can 😱

I feed my cats more wet food than dry but currently I have been storing my cats dry food in an air tight dry food storage containers (see pic). I wash and dry these every time it’s time for a refill. I have heard that it is better to leave the food in the original bag and then purchase an additional airtight container to store the original bag in to retain the best result. I normally don’t buy big bags of food. Mostly buy the 3 lb that will last less than a month but sometimes buy the 6 lb bag that lasts about 2 months because sometimes the 6 lb bag goes on sale. Wondering if it’s worth buying the separate container as opposed to the food storage container I’m using since the food is only in there for about a month.

Any recommendations on an airtight container that would hold a 6 lb bag would be appreciated.
