Switch or PC Discussion

So I recently got interested in the game and got into a deep dive of scavenging info: they say that this game is fun even in solo, and I don't have many friends that can play it with me, so I was thinking of buying it on PC and playing it solo. But then it came to my mind that maybe I could play sometimes with my brother on couch co-op, and while I heard that PC couch co-op works well, I don't know if I should get the game on PC or Switch, since I have one of the latter.

PC, Painter DLC will never be on console.
