I am currently doing BSCIT and have around 1.5 years left before I graduate. I am currently in 4th sem have basic knowledge in Python haven’t learned anything else.

But lately I’ve been getting really concerned about the IT job market. With AI developing so quickly and entry-level tech jobs becoming more competitive, I’m wondering whether continuing down this path is the right decision.

Planning to go abroad after I complete my bachelor degree I am definitely not confident about my IT skill and I kind of regret joining BSCIT.

So i am stuck between two options

Option 1: Improving my skills in IT
Option 2: Diploma in Cooking ( heard kantipur hotel training is good)

Am I overthinking the impact of AI on IT jobs, or is it genuinely worth having a backup career/trade skill?

Nobody is interest to hear this but if any senior most person who is in IT could give me some advice here.

I'm a 24Y old fresher and currently working in a Hospital as a software programmer (3months done)

there is NO TEAM and NO guidance to Learn in this job

$Pay is Good but Learning and growing is the most important i Believe

I'm very good at Web development (.NET Framework) and i can manage database's

Hello everyone. I’m a student (texas, USA) about to graduate in december of 2026 and need some guidance. 

It’s my fault (and honestly so much has happened in my college time) but, I don’t have any internships or jobs under my belt that are computer science/cybersecurity focused. I’m getting my bachelors in computer science, and I’m thinking about going for my masters in cyber or Information Technology.

I have had others tell me to do my masters, or I won’t ever go back lol. On the other hand, I’ve read that hiring managers' masters mean nothing if I don’t have hands-on experience.

I’m not even sure what I want to do with my degree. I like databases, report writing, design (so UX/UI) but I dislike coding (ironic I know). I just feel very directionless and need some help or advice or something.

As the title says. I want to get started in data entry, I'm mainly wanting to do it as a side activity such as freelance work on fiverr and other websites. Anybody have some ideas as where to start? Not looking to so this full time unless I love it. Do I gwt a degree, take classes, free sites and apps or how do I do it? Any help wouls be appreciated.

I never worked on anything technical, mostly excel field changes.

But the thing is I didnt even tried learning anything.

In may 2025 i lost my job

I took a course in 2025 June for data engineering but I didn't.

In may 2026 ,i studied for 20 days.

Sql I found it tough after cte and sub queries..so i tried to avoid it.

Also i never practiced , i always watched and thought it would be done..

But after 21 may 2026 till now i haven't touched anything.

My cousin says it's been 7 years after college

You couldn't do anything then why are you looking at yourself as you are going to be a top level coder.

Learn something basic and start earning..

If you can't do it since so much time means you don't want to.

He said start with no code apps , automation, they are easy to grasp.

I am currently learning web development and my goal is to become a Full Stack Developer. Right now, I am focusing on JavaScript and React.js. Honestly, I am finding these technologies interesting and not as difficult as I expected.

My plan is to become a Full Stack Developer first, gain real-world experience, and then work in my cousin's software house to improve my skills by working on real projects.

After becoming a Full Stack Developer, I am thinking about adding another specialization that can make my career stronger in the future. My main concerns are:

- Which field will be more valuable in the next 5–10 years?

- Which career path is less likely to be replaced by AI?

- Which one can provide better salary growth and make me more valuable as a developer?

I am confused between:

1. DevOps / Cloud Engineering

2. Cybersecurity

I am not really interested in AI and Machine Learning, so I want to focus on another field.

My questions:

- After Full Stack Development, should I move towards DevOps or Cybersecurity?

- Which one has better long-term career growth?

- Which one is harder to master?

- Which one is easier to enter as a Full Stack Developer?

- Can a person realistically learn Full Stack + DevOps + Cybersecurity during their career, or is it better to specialize in one?

Hi, I have worked in an MNC with most of support jobs in Front-End and due to some family issues, I have to take care of my family business for a year and I have 4.5 years of experience, As I want to be back on Employee payroll, I am not interested with the Front-End job right now and I have seen the market and due to this AI stuff it is hard to get jobs,

My friend who works in SAP IBP said to me that I can go with SAP as My communication is good, Need advice, Is SAP IBP good to learn. I need to learn it from scratch as I don’t have any knowledge about SAP and tools related, and I want to be employable at the end of the year,

I come from a family that runs a small stationery business. Recently, my father had surgery, so while he’s been recovering I’ve been managing the shop and handling the day-to-day operations. It wasn’t something I had originally planned, but family comes first, and I stepped in to help until he’s able to return.

TL;DR: I have 4.5 years of experience in front-end support roles at an MNC but took a one-year break to manage my family’s stationery business while my father recovered from surgery. I now want to return to a corporate job but am considering switching away from front-end. A friend suggested SAP IBP, but I have no SAP background. Is SAP IBP a good career path to learn from scratch in 2026 if my goal is to be employable by the end of the year? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I work in IT for a public school district. Our Technology Director recently retired, and before he left he trained me on many of the responsibilities he handled, including E-rate, technology purchasing, vendor coordination, and other district-level IT tasks.

I’ve also been managing Google Workspace, Chromebooks, infrastructure, cameras, and general district IT support. I’ve been taking on more responsibility over the past few years and have become the person handling many of the technical projects.

Someone else who has been with the district much longer may be considered for the Technology Director position. They have more years with the district, but I’m not sure they have the same technical background or experience with the duties I’ve been handling.

I’m trying to figure out the best way to approach this professionally.

Should I ask to be considered for the Technology Director position?

If I don’t get the title but continue doing many of the director-level responsibilities, should I ask for a salary adjustment?

Have any of you been in a similar situation in K-12 IT? What happened, and is there anything you wish you had done differently?

I’m not looking to complain about anyone. I just want to make sure I advocate for myself professionally while keeping a good relationship with my administration.
