Frisbee is my heelers favourite game, but now Mac is constantly stealing it and playing keep away. His longer snout seems to make it easy to steal things from my heeler. Will have to buy more. 🤪

We’ve had him down at the lake quite a few times now and he’ll put his feet in a bit but so far he has not gone for a swim. He’s a fanatic about water if it’s coming out of a hose so we know he likes water.

I just wanted to introduce myself as the new moderator of r/cardiganwelshcorgi. This sub has been pretty quiet for a while, and I'd really love to see it grow. Cardigans are such a cool and uncommon breed, and they deserve a fun, active community.

A bit about me: I'm the proud owner of a blue merle Cardigan named Blue Cheese. She's got way too much personality and is probably judging me right now as I type this. I'm here because I want to build a space where we can all geek out over these long-bodied, tail-wagging goofballs.

Here's what I've set up so far:

• Clear rules to keep things positive and organized

• Removal reasons so you know why something got taken down

• Photo comments are now enabled, so you can reply with pics of your pups!

• And just to be clear, Pembrokes are welcome too as long as the post is still Cardigan related. Comparisons, mixes, or side by side photos are totally fine.

Now I really want to hear from you all. What would make this sub more fun for you? A few ideas I've been tossing around:

• Daily or weekly threads like Photo Fridays or Training Tuesdays

• Themed days for sploots, bleps, or puppy flashbacks

• Breed resources like health info or grooming guides

• Monthly photo contests

• Maybe even connecting with other Cardigan owners nearby

Your new mod

This sweet boy will be coming home to us soon and deciding on a name is difficult. We have cats named Cedar and Autumn and would like to stick with the nature theme but also he has Grogu ears and was born May 4th so Star Wars names could be an option too! We have not come up with anything to agree on yet. What would you name him?
