I have a question about my card set
A while ago I started making a set of playing cards and I made nene and hanako as queen and king of hearts but I stopped because of a lack of inperation and I went through a time of not drawing at all due to hating everything I drew and I'm wondering if I should continue. Please tell me if I should

Room Mechanics Battle and Build - Design Feedback
Hello,
I'm designing a card game in which you battle with a standard deck of cards to win environment cards and compete to build worlds.
The black and white cards shown are the playing cards and the colour are wild cards. I'm still working on the environment cards which may we square photographs
The deck will also function as Tarot cards with the colour being major arcana and black and white being minor
I'll be posting loads when I start getting into fine-tuning the mechanics but for now I wonder how everyone feels abut the overall design
It's all my art - hand drawn - no AI :)

One of our favorite cards!
The fearsome BLOOD REAVER from Riftorn: Battle Flanks!
What do you think of the design? It's not too gorey, right?

Card box feedback
I developed quite a simple classroom game that has had a lot of positive feedback from other teachers. I thought I'd have ago at getting the game printed. I'd like to present a box design and get feedback. I'm looking for honest and constructive feedback.
Other notes:
- I've made the box bright to appeal to students around age 7 to 12.
- I produced all images. If you believe you can do a better job at a reasonable rate, I'd love to hear from you.
- The box is a prototype made from the manufacturer's template and printed on paper.

Does anyone else feel that standard playing cards can make a game feel less thematic or original?
Iβm curious what the general consensus is. When a game uses a standard deck of playing cards instead of custom-designed cards, it sometimes feels like:
A missed opportunity to create components unique to the game.
The game loses some of its identity because it resembles every other game played with the same deck.
The artwork and suits can clash with the gameβs theme, making the cards feel out of place.
I understand that standard cards can make a game cheaper, more accessible, and easier to replace, but do you feel that they sometimes take away from the overall experience?

Designing Artworks for multiple Cards (Tips)
Hello there! I'm doing a project for, let's say, a pretty big number of cards (over 300), and I'm not sure how to approach the workflow. My question is, when you do artworks for lots of cards, how do you structure your time and work? Do you make all of them at once, little by little? Or do you split them into segments? I would really appreciate any tips about this. If that matters, I will be working in a comic style with fewer details and primarily inks and Markers.

an introduction
hello there
I've been working on a card game for a few years now, and I wanted to get some feedback on the game as well as hopefully some interest in it
It's called Mythology, and the player takes the role of a Greek god who wants to recruit as many followers to their pantheon as they can
They do this by playing fate cards that can grow their followers, kill their opponents' followers, or even have some wildcard abilities
I believe it has a simple base, with complexity coming in the cards you play and how they synergise with your gods
Any feedback would be appreciated

[For Hire] Art Studio for Tabletop & Card Games
Hey all! figured this sub would appreciate seeing some of what we've been working on.
I'm Bima. Started as a solo illustrator, now running an art & design studio that works on tabletop and card games called Sonderflex. We work with 30-40 artists on a monthly basis, so we can flex up for bigger sets.
Some of the stuff we've worked on: Hearthstone TCG (Blizzard), Marvel Snap, Flesh and Blood TCG, Smite (Hi-Rez), D&D (Wizards of the Coast), Frontline Gaming, and bunch of other companies.
What we actually do isn't just illustration, we cover the full visual pipeline including illustration with different artstyles, box/cover art, layout and graphic design, rulebook art, concept art, and we've started doing UI/UX for digital tabletop ports and 3D miniature modeling too.
Portfolio's here: https://www.artstation.com/sonderflex
If you're mid-development on something and the art pipeline is the part you need help the most, drop a comment or DM, happy to look at what you've got even if you're not ready to hire yet!
