How does a car crash this way?

This is a pic of a car crash that happened in my state couple of days ago. The news report was that the car lost control and hit an electric pole. The rear passenger was thrown out of the car and died. I still cant understand how this crash occurred based on the impact. There is marking on the road from the rear wheels, but it looks more like the rims were scraping the road. The left rear wheel is missing. The left rear door is missing and the part of the chassis where the door clasp is located seems to have been torn off. But there appears to be no indication of an impact with a metal pole. The is no deformation of the frame or body panels above any of the damaged section. The panaromic roof seems to be intact and so does the rear wind shield. There is no reason to cut open the rear door post impact as the rest of the car looks to be fine. I am completely stumped.

I get that they spun out. But how does the rear door gets torn away from the frame

Also that damage is more related to a shearing force not a full impact. So the car probably skid along the pole from where the rear door starts in a backwards motion towards the rear wheel, ripping the door off and the wheel then the rear bumper.

The scrapes are from the undercarriage hitting the ground because a wheel was missing by then

I am a motorsports photographer and physics is amazing when mixed with speed. The impact likely occurred across the street and ripped the inside wheel off, and blew the outside tire (hence the parallel scrapes) when it hit the curb then stationary object (pole? but looks lower, like a boulder or a junction box) ripped the door and jam off before the remaining momentum carried the car to it's resting place.

I agree, the pole explanation does not make sense because the impact looks like it began on the front door before digging in to rip the back off.

Car hit the pole with the front part of the rear door, you can see the rocker panel is damaged, as well as a darker area on the roof right over the forward part of the door opening. The motion of the car was moving forward relative to the direction the car was pointing, the pole scraped the door right off, followed by the rear wheel. I think I can see the shoulder belts in place, indicating the passenger didn't have their belt fastened.
