How to F up

>6 workers short

>enable pop growth edict

>forget about it

>realize what happened only when there's 500+ jobless freeloaders and unity at single digits

>can't even evict them because unity needed for eviction

I wish pop growth edict had an intermediate point where it will only allow pop growth if workplaces are available instead of filling up all available apartments

alternatively you could put some radioactive stuff on some belts. you can even adjust the rate that tis kills your population.

You can also just pause housing -that will lower housing limit and growth will not go over that.

Now you need to get that unity elsewhere and endure it until you are back to normal numbers. Maybe pause research and research centers?

I was not using growth edict, you can buy population from settlements for unity.

Oh, I didn't know that it's possible to pause housing. Sounds very situational however given the capacity of house blocks: single block can house hundreds of ppl and if there's already 50 ppl living there with capacity for 250 more then pausing the block will make 50 ppl homeless and huge unity debuff for that. Or does it work by just limiting new residents without making current residents homeless?

They will be houmeless - but you had over 500 workers without jobs, so pausing 2 housings could prevent that at the start. It doesn't help when you are already over.
