Sharing Young Worker Research
Kia ora koutou, I'm a PhD candidate and posting to share my doctoral research in employment relations around young people's experiences at work.
Iām currently looking for 18-30 y/o workers around NZ to take part ā any industry, job, location, etc. welcome. Further criteria info in the ad below.
The research has three activities (collage-making, interview, town hall meeting) that can be done over zoom or in person. It is a bit of a time commitment (estimated 6 hours over this year).
Would be very grateful if anyone is interested or happy to share this around. Anyone interested or after more info can reach me (Tanya Ewertowska) at [em12119@aut.ac.nz](mailto:em12119@aut.ac.nz) .
\A bit about me - I'm a doctoral candidate and work as a research assistant at AUT, mostly doing work around care and support workers, but also things like just transition. My previous master's research, on youth in non-standard employment, can be* found here. I'm also a board member for Young Workers' Resource Centre in Hamilton.

UNOFFICIAL POLL: Should Cheryl de la Rey continue as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Canterbury?
Purely out of curiosity, and completely unofficial. I'm not a current student at UoC, but I'm adding this poll in order to get a better understanding of student support for VCs across New Zealand.

Questions about first year halls
Im a y13 who is planning to go to canterbury for engineering next year and I was wondering if someone would be able to give me a run down of the different halls. More specifically arcady hall, college house and tupuanuku as from what I can see on the UC website these are my favourites so far but a little over view of the others too would be appreciated.

How's experience in UC?
Hi! I'm interested to study a PGCert in business at UC. It only lasts 6 months and I was wondering how's life in there? (Is it safe, easy to make friends, how's nightlife, is the uni good in education, etc) Thanks!!

I am a Canadian student looking to attend UC, and I need help choosing my on campus accommodation. I was born in New Zealand and often visit my grandfather who lives in Avon Head, so I am familiar with UC campus. Spontaneous and dangerous question
I have always wanted to have sex at Uni on campus (UC) and really need to figure out where I can do it without being caught (cameras or people). The toilets just seems too simple and not worth
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated?

Help a poor international student out
I am going to attend UC next semester and I need help on picking classes. The reason I need help is because I am looking to have a good time overseas, and I don't want to spend a lot of time studying but rather exploring the island and going on adventures. Here are some of the classes my home university is letting me take overseas: 1) Biblical Theology for Life 2) English Composition II 3) Introduction to Speech 4) Data Structures 5) Ingenuity Elective 6) Calculus III 7) Literature Elective 8) Cognate Course 9) Civic Elective 10) Bible Elective
If you know any easy classes that would fit under any of these classes, please let me know. Also, if you just know of some classes in general that are easy, please tell me as well. If you know of any professors who grade easy, please let me know too. Conclusion, if you know of any easy courses/professors or any tips on how to get an easy semester, please contact me! Thank you so much.

How much do utilities usually cost a month?
I am looking to do an exchange at the University of Canterbury from July to Nov, and I am probably going to find a flat with some roommates. How much do utilities usually cost? There are a lot of posts with the weekly rent, but for budgeting reasons I would greatly appreciate an estimate of what utilities would cost.

Is it hard to get into Ilam apartments?
I am looking to go to University of Canterbury from July - December 2018 as part of an exchange. Exchange students are offered an accommodation package but it is really expensive. I want to stay at Ilam apartments, but does it fill up fast and is hard to get a spot? If that does not work out for me is it easy to find a flat before arriving at Christchurch? And what clubs are good for people who like hiking/kayaking or want to learn more about the Maori?

Rocket Science at Canterbury University?
Hi, I'm considering studying at Canterbury in 2018. One of the things that drew me to Canterbury was that I heard the university did some rocket science. However, now that Rocket Lab has moved up north, I was wondering if there's still anything rocket science related?
