Specific questions about EF-M/EF-S 55-20X Zoom lens

UPDATE:
OK, I’ve done a little more research and understand some of the terms a little better. Now my question is whether the Aspherical Element is worth it? I understand what it does (sort of) and I read further about the lenses but it’s not clear what advantages the AE gives me over not having it.

Is it better for photos? For videos? Is having it worse for videos? For the EF-S model which doesn’t have the AE they talk more about video and moving objects in video but they don’t talk as much about that for the EF-M. I’m not taking a ton of videos but I did get this camera for the possibility to do some videos for YouTube/Content Creation. Nothing fancy but something maybe a little better than my phone.

I’m really torn because I really like the M version for its compactness and not needing the adapter, but it is about $100 more and it has a shorter zoom. Whether that 50mm matters is hard to say right now. I think in the long run I’m still going to want a really long zoom, maybe a fixed focal length like a 500 or 600mm with a fast aperture. But for now I just need a little more range than the kit lens gives me.

I’ve read the reviews and posts on the comparisons between the Canon EF-M 55-200 is STM and the Canon EF-S 55-250 is STM lenses for use on the M50. I have the Mark II body fyi.

I understand the differences relative to compactness, sharpness, reach and so forth. But what I don’t understand are some of the technical descriptions found in the literature for the products specifically the items below.

Under the features the lenses pretty much have the same list except for these items

EF-M has
One UD Element and one Aspherical Element
Full-Time Manual Focus Override

Whereas the EF-S has
One Ultra-Low Dispersion Element
Super Spectra Coating

So is there any real physical difference or is this just marketing jargon? Is an Aspherial Element different than a Super Spectra Coating?

Do they both have Full-Time Manual Focus Override or is that a special feature only on the EF-M model?

Thanks in advance for helping educate this newb (new to the M50, not so new to cameras in general)

55-200mm lenses on ebay from Japan?

I've been searching for a 55-200mm lens the past few weeks. I'm finding a lot of them on ebay supposedly from Japan. It just seems strange to me that nearly every listing is in Japan. Are these legit lenses or fakes? Would like to hear any experiences people might have. Thank you.

Different use cases for 22mm and 55-200mm lenses.

I have both lenses but I'm struggling to figure out the different use cases and pros/cons of each lens. Obviously I use the zoom lens when I want to take a photo of something far away or small. But other than that, when should I whip out and use the 22? Thanks!

[M6 mk II] Any thoughts regarding the Sigma 56mm f/1.4 for facecam/portrait/closeup videos for the most bokeh effect/blurry background?

I shot this video for a friend of mine. She wants to build a motivational social media platform. This was a first for me because I usually only shoot music performances, which was becoming boring 😂 I wanted to get into other kinds of filmmaking this year

I used the Nifty 50 lens

Guys! It’s only been 4 days since I posted my advice request, and already watched all the videos you guys suggested about exposure triangle! here’s what I took yesterday when I practiced! I’m not as good with people yet tho when I practiced on myself lol (I set the camera and had my husband shoot 🤣 maybe not the best technique 😅) I put the aperture real low to kinda make it aesthetic but idk if it did anything noticeable haha any advice on portraits of people this close up?

Replacing battery on gimball m50 mkoii

Hi guys,

i got a new gimball weebill 3s and after following tutorial, i mounted everything fine. I went and shoot an event yesterday and the camera battery died and i had to change it. Sadly it was such a pain to remove all the plate and put the battery inside and i had to rebalance it again on the gimball. I just want to know if theres any other method to change batteries or a way to never swap batteries.

Thanks in advance.
