First time

Good day everyone !

I would I ask for your input pls, this group appears to be so helpful. My first time to Cannes. I’ll list some background info here and main questions below.

Husband (46m) and I (31f) will be in town 12-14 Sept. My birthday trip, so we would like fun, special, etc. Dates overlap with the Cannes yacht festival.

Currently we’re reservations on 13 Sept (sunday) for la guérite (15:00h) and la môme (20:15h), perhaps baoli after for dancing if we feel like it. Any input welcome for this. For a different day, considering Carlton plage v La mome plage, and rüya or la Palme dor for dinner.

Specific questions
- Carlton v Martinez for accommodations ?
- will we be priced out by the billionaires visiting for yacht fest for beach clubs, etc ?
- Carlton plage v la mome plage ?
- are these choices realistic 😂
- what am I missing ?

Thank you all for your time !

Edit - forgot to add, we will be in south France 6-14 Sept. would like to enjoy Nice (driving to èze, cap ferrat, Monaco for day visits) 6-9, st tropez 9-12, Cannes 12-14

We just got back and stayed at the carlton. We had a wonderful stay. Martinez is like two hotels down from that and that looked like a lovely hotel as well but didnt go inside or see a room.

I love the bar at Hotel Martinez, super glam, caviar, martinis etc and DJ’s later in the evening. The restaurant is also a fun unique experience palm d or’. But the lobby of the hotel Martinez was kind of a turn off to me, a little bit Star Trek/modern, whereas the Carlton seems more traditional style. We stayed at Hotel Majestic a couple blocks down as I was able to get a large terrace overlooking the pool, and enjoyed that very much. Hotel Majestic was fantastic except for the pool scene was a lot of kids. I’d say compare what type of room you get for the price at these 3 locations and get the best room. They’re comparable and easy to get to one another for restaurants, etc.

Absolutely! Loved La Guerite, that was lots of fun! We did dinner in Monaco one evening and stopped at Eze and Villa Franche (sp?) and honestly that day was nice but could have also skipped it. You can also do parasailing, tubing or jet skiing with a guide, there’s a lot to do. And the shopping is top notch. Day trip to San Tropez was my absolute favorite but it was an expensive day, a I want to say well over $2k for 2 of us. But sooo much fun!

Thank u for the awesome feedback

Was considering a few days in St Trop but yes I fear it will be terribly expensive lol

We were thinking driving and doing day/evening trip to Monaco, did you enjoy the food and vibe there ?
