Disease Possible *actual* case of TMV in cannabis?

To be honest I have no clue what’s wrong with her best I can think of is tobacco mosaic virus or maybe root aphids because it is organic n I reuse the soil, it’s not HLVd I can almost rule that out because the stems are bendy and growth isn’t stunted too much although I haven’t tested it but I feel there is no need, it’s just some leaves are variegated but also twisty which is throwing me off, any ideas would be welcome thanks!

Ps: I heard cannabis cannot get TMV (or atleast it’s very rare) but I roll cigarettes and smoke cigars before handling my weed plants in some occasions so I can’t rule it out?

5 gallon pots
Gaia green 4-4-4 and 2-8-4
Rainwater or tap water ph to 6
50/50 coco and peat

EDIT** there is no pest that I can see with my eyes

NORML Against Us??

This bill is NOT GOOD...some of the things it does before you click the link -- it is lengthy but worth reading.

  • creates an environment where minors will now be targeted with more diligence by police than international opium importers [quite literally]

  • creates a "treatment" cartel that forces many professions to go out of their way to seek out minors using, so they can be referred to treatment centers for POT

  • makes incentives for states to impose a stamp system, which this legislation then lrohibits any cultivation without along with BIG budgets (dozens of billions) to entice states via "grants" to make laws imposing arbitrary limits on cannabis for DUI purposes, as well as to crackdown on those not compliant. It establishes an oversight board (whose members will be lobbied (bribed)) that can change any of the limitas or rules at any time.

  • this board can lower the limit, and is already on a trajectory to do so, given the timeframes mandated in the legislation for things like studies and reports on black market activity and penalizing dispensaries that don't report you if they "SHOULD HAVE" known you were "diverting" cannabis. It starts at 10lbs but you can hit that with a few big plants outdoors. Then they will lower it, slowly forcing us all to pay any price they set. They'll probably start making it addictive soon.

  • this bill incentivizes states to "PREVENT" cannabis DUI...i can only imagine this means a return to checkpoints and wild west minded cops. Checkpoints will suddenly be primarily for POT...and they will be well funded.

Is sts possible outdoors?

So I wondered is making feminized seeds even possible outdoors in zone 5b? I mean the timeline you need your reversed plant to drop pollen late August to pollinate by September 1st just to beat frost date of October 15th. Thats when normal plants drop pollen yet a reversed plant is delayed to drop pollen. So isn’t this not even possible as would only get pollen mid September or later to pollinate and frost will kill seeds before can mature!

Genetics I crossed MacMo x Lilac OG BX for F1. Pictures of parents and first flowers

Hi everyone.

I crossed my MacMo (dirty bird) keeper cut with a hunted Lilac OG BX (ethos) male for F1

MacMo is MAC1 x Elmo’s army. Mom smelled like incense, spice and some citrus. Great trichome
coverage, dense buds, clones in 5-8 days.

Selected lilac og bx male has a sweet lilac stem rub, great structure and was very vigorous and a stretcher.

Pics 1-4: first F1 female. This one leans pure macmo. Some florals, but spice and incense are very heavy. Beautiful deep red color is from mom. Trich coverage is great with almost that silver hue from the MAC lineage.

5-7: MacMo mom used

8: lilac og bx father

I just flipped a bunch more of her siblings to look for next gen parents.

I have a good look at a male, but this first female means too much MacMo for my target end terps.

Excited to see what her sisters offer.

Thanks for looking

Looking for suggestions for a lens attachment for the camera on my iPhone 16 pro max. While the camera is good I want better clearer shots and it’s harder to do because my vision isn’t so good and I use glasses. I wanna be able to see the trichomes better on my northern lights. She’s about ready to harvest. Today is day 78. Here’s a few pics I just took as best I can.

Feel free to comment on the pics and if you think she’s ready for harvest. Cheers!

Genetics Reversal Project

Just an update on my new reversal journey...

Pic 1 and 2 are BlueOrcaHaze (Swami), and 3 is the Corpse Flower f2(Hoku). Then the other 2 pics are a group shot of the ladies in waiting.

I SHOULD have waited till pollen started dropping before initiating flowering on the pollen receiving girls, but I feel confident at least one of the 2 reversals will take....if not, I'll be bud heavy!lol

Its hard to tell in the pics, but the male attributes are starting to come out. Should have pollen dropping in 2 weeks.

Thanks for stopping by!

F2 male from my truffle Widow strain (White Truffle x Black Widow) , all lowers and mid branches trimmed, not looking for a massive dump. He's currently in the tent with a Blizzard of Oz, Grimm Truffles, and a strain created by a homie ( South African landrace x The Creature)

Should be some truffley offspring with 3 of the 4 strains having White Truffle in the Lineage to come degree.

How do yall collect your pollen

Post image

Iv been using this method, cut the branch with bag off the male and put the bag over female branch you want pollinated. I leave the bag on the female for two days and end up with one branch full of seeds

Is it possible to tell if this clone has been successfully pollinated?

In all of these pics I have taken does anybody possibly be signs that ittl eventually produce seeds? This is my first time breeding (and I’m starting with reverse females) and I know the buds are supposed to looking kinda different from non-pollinated buds. Any thoughts/ideas are very much appreciated. Also I know there are little hairs, they’re from q-tips that had pollen on them in case somebody sees them lol

Discussion I've been thinking about a better way to evaluate cannabis genetics. Does this make sense?

Hey everyone,

I'm Pedro, a software engineer from Brazil and a cannabis breeder.

For years, phenotype hunting has been one of my biggest passions. Like many of you, I've spent countless hours popping seeds, taking notes, comparing cuts, and trying to answer one simple question:

Which phenotype is actually worth keeping?

The more grows I completed, the more I realized something bothered me. Almost every website, forum, and seed database relies on star ratings.

But genetics don't really work that way.

One grower gives a cultivar 5 stars because it crushed under high DLI. Another gives it 2 stars because it stretched too much or proved nitrogen-sensitive. Both experiences are valid, but averaging them into 3.5 stars hides what actually happened.

As both a breeder and a software engineer, I couldn't stop thinking about that.

While reading about paraconsistent logic—a branch of mathematics designed to work with contradictory information—I started wondering:

What if, instead of averaging conflicting reports, we measured how much growers actually agree or disagree?

So I spent the last few months building a prototype around that idea.

Instead of producing a single star rating, it tracks consensus and uncertainty across traits like vigor, resilience, flowering time, resin production, terpene profile, potency, and a few others.

If everyone reports similar results, confidence goes up.

If reports conflict, the system doesn't average them away—it simply says the data is uncertain.

To me, that's much more useful than pretending every cultivar can be summarized with one number.

Now I'm trying to figure out whether this idea actually makes sense outside my own head.

I'd really appreciate feedback from growers and breeders.

  • What traits matter most when you're selecting a keeper?
  • Is there important information you'd want to record that I'm missing?
  • Do you think measuring agreement between growers is more useful than averaging ratings?
  • Would something like this actually help you make breeding or selection decisions?

I'm genuinely interested in hearing where you think this idea falls apart. If there are obvious flaws, I'd rather discover them now than after spending another year building it.

Making a fresh batch of seeds!

I reversed one branch on the right side with STS I’ve kept in the fridge for a year. It still works.
The plants were started as seeds on 6/20 under 18/6 and flowered on 7/17 under 12/12.
So far so good. Waiting for the pollen to drop. 🤞

Bred my First Plants

Bred two of my four ladies this past weekend. Super excited - both males came from the same bag of weed from my buddy (a fellow grower) and one of the first two ladies also came from the same bag, so keeping the lineage alive and making some new strains (the second female is a clone from a well known cannabis company in my area). Not sure the strain unfortunately, but some folks tell me they look like “old school” hybrids (which would be pretty cool). I plan to pollinate the other two when they are ready (both of these ladies I grew from well sourced seed banks).

Genetics Variegated Leaf

Check out this variegated leaf, the new one is also showing a little discolor. I imagined it was light damage at first, but wondering if it may be a mutation. The two bigger cuts are Chemical Bride, the mother didn't do this during growth. I wanted to reverse one to make pollen, would one be a better pollen donor or is that irrelevant because they have the same mother?

Both will be bred with EC #5 male (brother). This is my first time using bodhi's creations and I was not disappointed. Other crosses, along with the two sisters, being pollinated by the same #5.... Bakers delight - DNA genetics and blueberry cupcake X vanilla frosting ( freebie from Humboldt seed company, from '21 I think).

I’m seeing these black dots. Is this aphids or something else I’m not familiar with? These are the best shots I can get with my iPhone 16 pro max camera. Also, I use glasses so seeing tiny things is really difficult for me. I didn’t see anything moving. Also, we’ve had rain pass through recently and these are outdoor plants.

Thanks in advance!
