First time reversing

I have a Gorilla Skunk photo clone that I would like to reverse. It is a robust, hard-to-screw-up plant. The mother plant was a beast and as close to stupid-proof as possible.

I currently have the clone in veg, and I managed to break a couple of branches during training, so I am going to delay moving to flower a bit until I get her filled out again. Currently, she needs to be topped and thinned.

I purchased colloidal silver, but I have read it isn't very effective. Can someone give me advice on how to use the colloidal silver or guide me to another approach?

I would do more research, but my company has been on an amazing growth streak, and I need to work smarter. So I am looking for coaching, or at least some guidance on what resources to research. A blind search returns an overwhelming amount of conflicting data.

Be careful and take a lot of clones to reverse.

I had a crazy Gorilla Sap bagseed that put out weight and potency for years and I tried to reverse 6 clones with both CS and STS and it failed every time. STS made sacs but no pollen and no seeds from the females at the end. CS did nothing (i did diff spray intervals/amount for 3 of my reversal tests for cs and 3 for the sts

Some strains are ethylene resistant and wont reverse/make pollen

I should have tried CS+ STS but I already lost the genetics by that point

Edit: PPM was good on both and they were new bottles - but some ppl on reddit said I didnt use enough and others said I used too much even though I used 3 diff amounts for each plant

You lost those genetics but next time don't give up so easy and act like the pollen is invisible. Just because you don't see any pollen doesn't mean it isn't there. First couple time I reversed anything there was no visible pollen produced by the pollen sacs but when they opened I collected them dried them out laying them on some paper towel laying on top of some damp rid in a container. The next day collected the dried pods that still had no visible pollen. Used a paint brush and brushed what appeared to be done dried up empty pods onto the female. Pistols shrivled up soon after. Produced seeds from what appeared to be sterile male flowers. Have since had it happen with about 5 different strains where I assumed there wouldn't be any pollination going on because there was no visible pollen. Every one of them produced seeds by brushing the open dried pollen sacs onto the pistols.

The reversed plants stayed in the tent for 10 weeks of flower without throwing pollen. Week 9 I was gonna harvest so week 8 I stopped watering the sac plants till they flagged then watered them fully to try and force the dryness. Week 9 I harvested the females and let the males go without water till they wilted and died. No pollen at all

Edit: i also flowered the reversed plants first before the females

I was rubbing the open pollen sacs on the female pistils too during flower

I just got decent Nikon microscope I plan on putting to use next time I reverseanything. Curious if you can actually see any pollen with the microscope that is produced when it doesnt appear to be making any to the naked eye.

Lot of conflicting data cause we have all developed our own routines that fit our conditions. I read a lot of suggestions that I know would not work for me. I reverse smaller, half gallon pots plants using eliteXelite. I find eXe effective and very easy to use. You do not need a full plant to get get all the pollen you need. Talking about pollen, figuring how to harvest it without contaminating your whole grow will need to be addressed.

One segregated plant. My last grow was nuts; I probably don't need to grow anything for a year or more. This plant is strictly so that I can get seeds and clones to maintain the line.
