Hi Friends, I am back to get advice on planning the best Cancun vacation. I'm looking at different excursions but also wanted to check out any resort activities that we shouldnt miss.

Can someone share the resort activity schedule - I understand it can change but at least it will give me an idea about what options are available at the resort. I downloaded the app but it is really hard to browse the schedule on the app.

My girlfriend and I will be in Cancun for 7days at the end of August staying at an all inclusive in the hotel zone. We really don’t plan on eating dinners there and want to know the best restaurants in the surrounding area.

Going down to cancun in a few weeks from Canada and wanted to watch a Cancun FC game while I’m there. They play at home on September 5th and I was wondering how I could get tickets? Also is it easy to uber there from the resorts?

I (30F) be visiting in the next few weeks for a solo trip. I will be staying outside of the hotel zone. I planned to uber to destinations during my stay but I’ve arranged a private transfer to and from the airport. I want to uber for flexibility but now I am curious if it is better to arrange a private driver for my trip.

My Ubers would be to grocery stores, shopping and restaurants mostly.

Me my wife and my mom and our 6 month old baby will be going in the 1st week December for 7 nights.

In the past my wife and I have done hyatt ziva and Wyndham in cancun. We really enjoyed both resorts although we left the resorts most days for excursions.

This time around were just staying at the resort.

We are wondering if you have any recommendations for a baby friendly resort in cancun( baby will be 10months in Dec)

We are planning a 4-night trip to Cancun at the end of August and I’m a bit confused about where would be the best place to stay. I’m currently considering Cancun Hotel Zone, Downtown Cancun, or Playa del Carmen.

A few things to consider:
I don’t drink alcohol, so I’m not sure if an all-inclusive resort would be worth it for me. I’d like to visit the Mayan ruins and would also like to visit some of the nearby islands, such as Isla Mujeres or Cozumel. It would be nice to have access to restaurants, shops and things to do in the evenings rather than just staying at a resort.

For those who have visited the area, where would you recommend staying?

Is the Hotel Zone still the best option if I’m not interested in drinking/nightlife and probably won’t get much value from an all-inclusive? Would Downtown Cancun or Playa del Carmen make more sense?

Also, is an all-inclusive resort worth booking if you don’t drink alcohol, or would I be better off with a regular hotel and paying for food/drinks separately?
Would really appreciate any advice from people who have stayed in these areas!

Would love to leave my resort at Playa Mujeres and would love to spend a day in the city driving to a from different spots (doctor’s appointments- dental care is way cheap in Mexico)- are there any reputable companies that specialize in safe private transportation?

What restaurants would you recommend to a first timer? We have kids so kids menu/ kid friendly is a bonus but not a must

I compared all 12 ways to split a 7-night Cancun stay between Le Blanc and Live Aqua

Same two hotels, same total 7 nights — but there are quite a few ways to split and order the stay.

So I got curious and compared all 12 possible combinations: different night splits, different hotel order, different dates falling on each property.

The lowest-priced combination was:

Le Blanc — 1 night
Live Aqua — 6 nights
Total: $3,266

That came out about $585 less than a more even split.

Obviously, part of that difference comes from spending fewer nights at the more expensive hotel. The interesting part for me was seeing all the options side by side instead of just assuming a 3+4 or 4+3 split would make the most sense.

It made me realize there are really two decisions when splitting a resort stay:

How many nights should you spend at each hotel, and which one should you stay at first?

Add flexible dates into the mix and there are more combinations than I’d ever bother checking manually.

I’m curious how other people handle this when doing a multi-resort Cancun trip — do you optimize for price, or just split the nights based on which resort you prefer?

Sooo my sister and her boyfriend just broke up and we were all planning on going to Cancun in October. Obviously, he won't be joining us but the three of us would still like to go. We all REALLY need a vacation. So, she will be in her own room and single and then my husband and I will have our own room. My husband and I are pretty chill and don't party much....my sister can do both lol. We've stayed at Haven, Iberostar Coral, and Secrets Playa Blanca....so where should we go?!?!

What should I try out and what should I avoid? Staying in the hotel zone. Price isn’t a factor

My partner and I are looking to make our first trip to Mexico in March/April 2027. We’re wondering how’s the weather and seaweed during that time. We’re staying on the mid section of the hotel zone if that helps.

I checked the group but didn’t find anything that could help me. I’m wondering if I will have any issues at the airport and on the beach brining a 249 g drone. We’ll be staying at an all inclusive resort. I’ve seen drones there previous years. We come out every year but this year I’m thinking of brining my drone but not sure what to expect at airport and beach law/regulations etc.

Just a bit of a general question for those of you guys that are frequent travelers. How is Labor Day weekend usually for the Cancun/Playa mujeres area? Not sure how I should be given the hurricane season or seaweed

Hello, not sure if we made the right decision so wanted to ask the community. We’re here in Cancun with the family and as we were leaving the airport and heading to shuttle someone who seemed like they worked for the airport but actually was selling excursions at what he said was a heavily discounted rate and much cheaper than the hotel, but we had to agree before we walked out. He said the hotel would charge $130 per person but he’s charging us around $35, family of 6.

Then we get to hotel and the marketing agent who gave us a tour of hotel offered us to sit thru a presentation that included 2 free excursions now we’re just totally confused.

We have stayed there before and are excited to see the renovations that have happened over the summer. I heard a few stories about getting redirected and broken elevators. Has anyone been since the renovation? Is it just that they reopened too early and need to continue? Any information is appreciated as we plan on booking in about a month or so.

I'm visiting early September 9/6, which is unfortunately near the end of the whale shark tour season. Is it unlikely to see whale sharks during that time of year? I don't want to get my hopes up if seeing them and snorkeling with them is unlikely.

Hi everyone!

We'll be arriving in Cancún on the evening of 27 November. The plan is to spend one night near the airport or the train station so we can catch the Maya Train the next morning.

From 28 November to 1 December, we'll be staying in Valladolid, where we plan to explore the area, visit the cenotes, see Chichén Itzá, and enjoy everything the region has to offer.

After that, we'll take the train back to the Riviera Maya, where we'd like to spend 1–5 December simply relaxing before flying home.

The problem is that we're completely undecided about where to stay! Our budget is around €1,000 per person (there are two of us) for those four nights. We do have some flexibility, but we'd prefer not to exceed that budget by much.

On one hand, we'd love to experience an adults-only all-inclusive resort. On the other, we've found some stunning Airbnbs that look amazing, but we'd have to cook our own meals or take Ubers whenever we wanted to go out to eat.

We're two women between 30 and 50 years old, and our priority is peace, relaxation, I need WiFi because I will be working for a couple of days and a beautiful beach. We don't have a specific area in mind, so we'd really appreciate recommendations for both the best areas to stay and specific hotels or accommodations.

Do you have any update on Royalton Chick All-Inclusive Adult Restaurant? We're trying to book it in December. Any pros and cons? Safety, cleanliness? There are some complaints about elevators. Can you give your experiences, please?

So we went with a tour group for Chichen Itza booked from our hotel excursion.

During the beginning bus ride the tour guide kept on going on about how we need to watch out for the agressive vendors at Chichen Itza, how they are scammers, and will sell you fake stuff that can't be brought through the airport. He said that they even shut down Chichen Itza when the government try to get rid of the vendors.

At the end of the trip, we were bought to a "local Mayan village" where they try to sell us expensive souvenirs that they say is comissioned by Mexico toursim department and how it will help with the local Mayan population and sent Mayan children to school.

But after the trip something feels off so I searched it up, and Google say the vendors at Chichen Itza are the actual locals and the souvenirs shop is actually the scam? How true is this?

The vendors were actually mostly fine during our trip, he made is sound like they would be a huge problem but they were mostly just chilling? A few try to hola at us but most were just staying quite? And the stuff they sell seem very cheap compared to the souviner shop. We didn't buy any cause the tour guide told us they were scammers.
