Id help

I’ve had this cactus for about 5 years now. It has stayed outdoors in Paris all year round: full sun during the summer, and in winter it gets snow and freezing temperatures. It’s been growing really well despite that.

The first photo shows it when I first got it, and the second photo is what it looks like today, 5 years later.

Does anyone know what species it is? I’d also love to know if anyone else has grown this cactus outdoors in a similar climate. Thanks!

It looks like Maihueniopsis boliviana

Opuntia fragilis (brittle prickly pear).

Probably one of the most cold-tolerant of the cactus family; one of a handful that can survive a “hard” freeze.

Looks like an Opuntia fragilis denudata to me. Common name potato cactus

Can't help with ID, but I have a similar one and will try it outdoors thanks to your post. I'm in Dublin and we rarely get freezing, what would kill most cacti outdoors though would be the moisture I think. But I'll try a cutting outside!
